n farming or fast fashion, we need to put a stop to it. We can’t go on any longer damaging the planet, we must come up with solutions that are fashion forward, but also sustainable. Which leads us to the amazing brands we have on our platform. They each have their own models that help us consume more consciously and buy into ethical and eco-friendly garments. Alongside our platform, we have chosen to run this magazine where you can stay up to date with all our latest brands and must-have items. 'Based in Brighton, Ilk + Ernie create quality, responsible clothing that is ethically manufactured. The female-led team source and buy deadstock fabrics that would otherwise end up in landfill. Each season the team purchase, recycle and reuse these fabrics to create sustainable and stylish pieces. Their zero-waste approach to fashion not only reduces the huge quantity of seasonal waste produced by large fashion corporations; but also saves on masses of greenhouse emissions every year.

Ilk + Ernie aim to empower and ignite confidence it those who wear womenswear. “We are for spirited, free-thinking females.”

Hey Guys! I’m Georgia India, co-founder of Contemporary Fashion. Welcome! Contemporary Fashion was created by our team to highlight sustainable and responsible fashion brands, companies, and conscious individuals who are passionate about our environment, and want to see a future where fashion is long-lasting and can be renewed, re-circulated and positively impact our future. For me, sustainability became key while researching fabrics for my swimwear line. I saw firsthand how many materials had a negative effect on the environment, and it became crucial for me to switch out harmful fabrics for recycled ones. Building out my other businesses, I found that I was naturally drawn to making them conscious and sustainable. My vintage shop allows consumers to buy pre-loved luxury items, which promotes a zero-waste fashion economy. It was a natural next step when the Contemporary Fashion team and I came together to build out Contemporary Fashion as a hub for sustainable fashion. Our ambition is to grow our platform and magazine through a multi-channel experience to share luxury, curated, sustainable, considered, fair fashion. This journey has started with our digital magazine and platform, and we are inspired by the possibilities for change in the fashion industry to grow our platform further.
