Kathmandu, Nepal updated !!!

First ever Bongthings Pilgrimage tour to holy places of Nepal sponsored by Honourable Chief Minister of Sikkim Shriman Prem Singh Tamang-Golay which includes 17 head Bongthings, four Bongthing assistant, two Bongthing incharge, 4 Bongthing guides and twelve students have reached the heart of Nepal, the capital of Himalayan nation Kathmandu.

After completing 3 days tour of Holy Halesi, the delegation have reached Kathmandu city where the the team will be staying 3 nights and two days visiting the holy places in and around Kathmandu.

It may be here noted that the tour team is being headed by Additional Political Secretary to Honourable Chief Minister Shriman Prem Singh Golay cm General Secretary of SKM Vidyatarthi Morcha Shri Tshering Wangchuk Lepcha.

The tour team also includes executives councillor of Namchi Smt. Nima Choden Lepcha, Tibet road councillor Smt. Diki Lhamu Lepcha & Chandmari councillor Smt. Chungkela Lepcha.

In the first day of Kathmandu, the group visited Pashupatinath mandir,Boudha shrine, Budhanilkantha Temple and Swayambhu nath temple.
The pilgrim received the blessings & offered prayers for the well being of all sentiments and also prayed departed soul and people affected by recently Glacial Lake Outbrust Flood in the Teesta basin.

The group was warmly received with khadas by Mr. Suresh Lama, Mr. Buddha lama, Mr. Subin Shakya and group upon arriving at Boudha Shrine.

लिम्बू-तामाङ सीट आरक्षणसम्बन्धी जोरथाङमा आयोजित ऱ्याली एसडीएफ पार्टीद्वारा प्रायोजित हो भन्ने कुरा उदाङ्गो भएको छ। एसडीएफ पार्टीका उपाध्यक्ष ए. डी. सुब्बा, याङथाङ समष्टिबाट 2019 -को एसडीएफ उम्मेदवार डी. बी. लिम्बू, जोनल कार्यालय जोरथाङका महासचिव पी. एस. लिम्बू, भर्खरै एसडीएफमा सामेल भएका मदन तामाङ आदिले ऱ्यालीको नेतृत्व गरिरहेको देखियो...!!

एसडीएफले एलटीभीसीको जायज मागलाई हाइज्याक गरेर सिक्किममा अशान्ति अनि साम्प्रदायिक सदभावना भत्काउने षड्यन्त्र गर्दैछ। 2003 -मा जनजातिको मान्यता पाएका लिम्बू-तामाङलाई 2006 -मा सिक्किम विधानसभामा सीट आरक्षण दिलाउने एसडीएफसँग सुनौलो मौका थियो तर त्यो मौकालाई एसडीएफले गुमाएको सबैलाई थाहा छ, एलटीभीसीलाई पनि थाहा छ। एसडीएफ सरकारले 9 मार्च 2006 -मा केन्द्र सरकारको डिलिमिटेसन कमिसनलाई लिम्बू-तामाङको सीट आरक्षण केही समयका लागि स्थगित राखिदिनु भनेर पत्रचार गरेको थियो...!!

एसडीएफ सरकारको कमजोरी र लापर्वाहीको कारण नै लिम्बू-तामाङको सीट आरक्षणको मुद्दा तन्केर यहाँसम्म आइपुगेको हो। जुन पार्टीको कारण लिम्बू-तामाङको सीट आरक्षणको माग अहिलेसम्म पनि निष्कर्षमा पुग्न सकेन आज त्यही पार्टीका नेताहरूले ऱ्यालीको नेतृत्व गरिरहेको देख्दा सबैलाई बढो अचम्म लाग्नु स्वाभाविक नै हो...!!

आजको ऱ्यालीमा पुगनपुग ढेड सय मान्छे पनि भेला गर्न नसकेर एसडीएफले आफ्नो कमजोर धरातल प्रदर्शन गरेको छ। एलटीभीसीलाई एसडीएफको राजनीतिक षड्यन्त्रको शिकार बनेर दिग्भ्रमित नहुने हाम्रो सुझाउ छ। लिम्बू-तामाङ सीट आरक्षणसम्बन्धी हाम्रो सरकारले इमान्दारपूर्वक पहल गरिरहेको पनि एलटीभीसीलाई जनाउन चाहन्छौं। जुन पार्टीको सरकारले लिम्बू-तामाङ सीट आरक्षणको मागलाई 16 बर्षमा पनि पार लगाउन सकेन त्यही पार्टीको सहारा लिनु एलटीभीसीको गलत निर्णय हो भन्ने हाम्रो बुझाइ छ। हिजोसम्म लिम्बू-तामाङ सीट आरक्षण केन्द्रको विषय हो भन्नेहरूले आज राज्य सरकारलाई लिम्बू-तामाङको सीट आरक्षण गर भन्नु कतिको युक्तिसम्मत कुरा हो...?

Hon'ble CM Shri PS Golay joined the grand reception honoring the winner of Miss Gurung International Season 5 held in Kathmandu. Miss Jerina Gurung, the winner, Miss Karina Gurung, 2nd runner-up, and other title holders from Sikkim received a warm welcome at Melli checkpost.

Hon'ble CM congratulated the daughters of Sikkim on their international success and encouraged them to use this experience to propel their careers forward. Additionally, the State Government will also provide Rs 5 lakhs in financial assistance to each of the five contestants to support their career aspirations.

गान्तोक, १२ नोभेम्बर:-
सांस्कृतिक संरक्षण र सामुदायिक विकासको दिशामा एक महत्वपूर्ण कदममा, मुख्यमन्त्री श्री प्रेम सिंह तामाङले नेपालको आध्यात्मिक यात्रा सुरु गर्न सेट गरिएको लेप्चा बोङ्थिङसँग अन्तरक्रियात्मक सत्रको आयोजना गर्नुभयो। सम्मान भवनमा आज भेटघाट भएको थियो, जहाँ मुख्यमन्त्रीले उत्साही भेलालाई सम्बोधन गरे।
यस वर्षको सुरुमा राज्यमा तेन्डोङ ल्हो रम फात उत्सवको समयमा घोषणा गरे अनुसार, मुख्यमन्त्रीले साझा गर्नुभयो कि राज्य सरकारले गर्वका साथ लेप्चा बोङ्थिङ्सलाई नेपालको तीर्थयात्राको लागि प्रायोजित गरिरहेको छ। उद्घाटन टोलीमा छ वटै जिल्लाका १७ बोङ्थिङ, चार सहायक, पाँच गाईड र विभिन्न कलेजका १२ जना विद्यार्थी सहभागी छन् । उनीहरुको तीर्थयात्राले पोखरा, काठमाडौं र हलेसीका तीर्थस्थललाई समेट्नेछ ।
मुख्यमन्त्रीले लेप्चा जातिको उत्थानका लागि आफ्नो प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गर्दै पहिलो दलका सदस्यलाई आर्थिक सहयोग गर्ने आश्वासन दिए । उनले तीर्थयात्रालाई वार्षिक कार्यक्रमको रूपमा घोषणा गरे, जसको उद्देश्य साँस्कृतिक सम्बन्ध र समुदाय भित्र आध्यात्मिक विकास गर्ने लक्ष्य राखिएको छ।
सरकारको पहललाई प्रकाश पार्दै मुख्यमन्त्रीले लुम्सेमा लेप्चा भवन निर्माणको योजना साझा गर्दै विभिन्न जातीय समुदायलाई सशक्तिकरण गर्न राज्यले गरिरहेको प्रयासमा जोड दिए।
साथै उनले लेप्चा, लिम्बू र भुटिया भाषालाई संविधानको आठौं अनुसूचीमा समावेश गरी आधिकारिक मान्यता प्राप्त गर्नका लागि प्रदेश सरकारले औपचारिक रुपमा केन्द्र सरकारसमक्ष वकालत गरेको जानकारी दिनुभयो । उनले यस पहलको प्रगतिलाई पुष्टि गरे, भाषा विद्वानहरू सक्रिय रूपमा प्रक्रियामा संलग्न छन्।

कार्यक्रममा मुख्यमन्त्रीले रेन्ज्योङ मुतान्ची रोङ टार्जुम, सिक्किम लेप्चा संघलाई उदारतापूर्वक रु. मुख्यमन्त्री राहत कोषमा २ लाख
उनले शिक्षा विभागका लेखा अतिरिक्त निर्देशक श्री टीबी सुब्बालाई निरन्तर उदारताका लागि धन्यवाद दिए। पछिल्ला ६ वर्षमा, उनले आफ्नो कुल तलबको २% CMRF लाई दान गरेका छन्, र २०२३ देखि, उनले यसलाई बढाएर ३% पुर्याएका छन्।

छिरिङ वाङ्दी लेप्चाले एसडीएफको संघ विरोधी चरित्र उदाङ्गो बनाएपछि अहिले एसडीएफले त्यसको बचाउ गर्ने भरपूर कोशिश गरिरहेको छ। धेरै स्पष्टिकरण दिइरहेको छ। तर साँचो कुरा सिक्किमको राजनीति अध्यन गर्नेहरूलाई थाहा छ, त्यो के हो भने पवन चामलिङ जहिल्यै संघविरोधी थिए।

1999-को चुनावमा उनले संघ सीट असंवैधानिक हो भन्दै संघ उम्मेद्वार उठाएनन्। यसको भूतपूर्व मुख्यमन्त्री स्व. नर बहादुर भण्डारीले धेरै विरोध गरेका थिए। 2004 -को चुनाउपछि एसडीएफले आफ्नो समर्थक लगाएर लामाहरूमाथि हमला गरेको रेकर्ड छ। अब एसडीएफले जति नै स्पष्टिकरण दिए पनि एसडीएफको संघविरोधी चरित्र बाहिर आइसकेको छ।

[When Disaster Becomes a Political Chessboard for Bhaichung Bhutia and the SDF Party"]

Bhaichung Bhutia and the SDF Party seem to have quite the knack for playing politics, even during natural calamities. It's almost as if they see every disaster as an opportunity to score political points rather than focusing on addressing the real issues at hand.

Bhaichung Bhutia, the former football star turned political commentator, has recently made headlines with his accusations against the State Government regarding their handling of flash floods and preventive measures. But upon closer examination, it becomes evident that his claims are more about political maneuvering than genuine concern. It's a classic case of using a crisis to divert attention and gain political mileage.

Natural calamities, such as flash floods, are beyond human control, and it is essential to assess how a government responds to such crises. The State Government, under the leadership of the Hon'ble Chief Minister, has shown a commitment to rebuilding and rehabilitating areas across the Teesta basin. They've rolled out multiple relief packages to provide respite to the affected people. Bhaichung Bhutia's concerns about negligence and mismanagement seem more like a political ploy to undermine the current administration.

But let's not forget the SDF Party's history when they were in power. During the 2011 earthquake in Sikkim, they were not exactly champions of disaster relief. Funds meant for flood relief were often distributed based on political affiliations, leaving many affected citizens without the support they desperately needed. It's rather hypocritical for the SDF Party to now accuse others of playing politics during calamities.

Bhaichung Bhutia's accusations regarding the potential for Glacial Lake Outburst Floods (GLOF) at South Lhonak Lake are also questionable. Scientists and researchers have been warning about this risk for years, and the lack of action predates the current government. Blaming them for a long-standing problem is just another example of political opportunism.

In the case of the devastating GLOF at South Lhonak Lake, the breach of the Teesta Stage 3 Dam played a significant role. The SDF Government, despite numerous warnings, proceeded with the construction of India's second-largest run-of-the-river dam without proper water data, particularly for peak flood events. The substandard quality of work and the subsequent dam breach caused significant damage to downstream communities. So, let's not pretend that the SDF Party was a beacon of responsible governance during environmental crises.

In the end, it's clear that both Bhaichung Bhutia and the SDF Party are using these accusations as a political tool. Instead of working towards constructive solutions and accountability, they are more interested in playing politics during natural calamities. It's crucial for the public to see through these tactics and focus on real issues rather than falling for political games.
