When I had my first child in 2020, I thought I had life figured out. I was in my 30s, confident that I had enough experience to navigate new challenges. But if I’m being honest, I wasn’t as wise as I believed. Like many first-time parents, I placed complete trust in the advice of medical professionals. It made sense to follow their lead, right? After all, they were the experts. But looking back, I realise I rarely questioned anything.

Now, here I am, pregnant again. But this time, it’s different. After working with a private birth keeper, I’ve become clearer about what I want: minimal intervention unless absolutely necessary. This isn't about being reckless or dismissive of medical advice – it's about trusting myself, learning from experience, and making informed decisions.

At my recent appointment, I made my stance clear: I don’t want to be induced unless it's medically unavoidable. And that’s when I realised just how important it is to advocate for yourself. The consultant responded in a way that caught me off guard. It was dismissive – as if I were still that same person from 2020 who didn’t know better. They suggested I start collecting colostrum immediately and mentioned doing a membrane sweep at 37 weeks, as if it were a given. No real discussion. Just assumptions about what was best for them, not what was best for me. In that moment, I felt my resolve strengthen. This wasn’t just about pregnancy anymore. It was a reminder that whether it’s in a medical setting, at work, or in relationships, you can’t always assume that people will prioritise your best interests. Their advice might come from experience, but it doesn’t mean it’s right for you. And if you don’t stand up for what feels right in your heart, you risk being led down a path that isn’t aligned with your needs or values. We must be intentional about what we say yes to.

So, I’m sharing this not just as a pregnancy story but as a reminder. Wherever you are in life – ask yourself: What do I want? What feels right for me? It’s okay to listen to advice, but it’s also okay to say no when something doesn’t sit well with you. Trust your intuition, ask questions, and don't be afraid to push back.

I’m reaching a point in my pregnancy where the thoughts aren’t just about getting through the 9 months but to plan for labour. With a high-risk label due to gestational diabetes, I've already been told I’ll be induced between 37 and 38 weeks. But in my heart, something stirs differently. I’ve booked an appointment with a private free-birthing midwife because the thought of giving birth in my own home, in my own space, without unnecessary medical intervention, brings me a sense of safety and calm that a hospital setting doesn't provide.

I never imagined I’d allow myself to even entertain this idea, let alone plan for it. But I believe it’s possible. I believe my body knows what to do, and I’m giving myself permission to explore that possibility, to trust in it. Often, we don’t take a chance on ourselves. We don’t hedge on our own instincts. Instead, we do what seems easiest, or what society or others tell us is “right” or “safe.” And it’s hard to stray from those expectations, especially when the path is uncertain.

The truth is, I have no idea if things will go to plan. I don’t even know what my plan is yet. I’m still exploring, still keeping my options open. But I do know this: opening our minds to different possibilities is better than feeling locked into just one path. Sometimes, simply allowing ourselves to try something different is an act of courage, a quiet declaration of self-belief.

And it feels so good to hedge on myself. That confidence didn’t just come from nowhere; it’s something I’ve been building. I think starting my online business was the first big risk I took where I decided to trust myself to succeed. That experience has been a game-changer. It showed me that betting on myself isn’t selfish or reckless—it’s empowering. It’s trusting that I’m capable, even when the outcome isn’t certain.

Pregnancy, like life, is filled with so much uncertainty. But instead of letting that uncertainty scare me, I’m learning to lean into it. I’m trusting my body, my instincts, and my ability to navigate whatever comes my way.

For the mothers who have been down this road—what did you do? And if you could go back, would you do things differently? ❤️

Finding Joy Within

It sounds simple, doesn’t it? Joy. But for so long, I lacked it in my life. Sure, there were lots of moments when I felt happiness—being in the company of others brought me joy, reaching goals filled me with satisfaction, and taking vacations gave me a sense of excitement. Yet, something was missing. I wasn’t waking up in the mornings lit up by life. That deeper, lasting joy felt elusive.

I realise now that I was looking for joy in all the wrong places. I thought it had to be earned, achieved, or found in the next big thing. But joy isn’t something external. It’s not about the next holiday or milestone—it’s something that comes from within. And for a long time, that connection was missing for me.These days, my life feels so much more full. I wake up each day filled with gratitude for my family, for my role in their lives, and for the opportunity to show up for them in small and big ways. Whether it’s preparing breakfast, taking care of our home, or just being present, these everyday moments fill me with a sense of purpose and joy that I never thought possible.

Starting my online business was a turning point. It catapulted me into this wholesome, grounded feeling of fulfillment. Doing something for myself while contributing to my family’s well-being—it’s a joy I hadn’t imagined. I’m not just working; I’m building something meaningful, and that sense of accomplishment feels amazing.

If you’re someone who feels like joy has been missing from your life, like I did for well over a decade, I want you to know that you can shake things up. It’s possible to create a life that fills you with purpose and joy from the inside out. It starts with a decision to grow, to develop yourself, and to pursue the things that truly matter.

If this resonates with you, I invite you to join me for a special masterclass this Thursday where we delve into creating an uncapped income online, in the pockets of your time. Send me a message if you’d like to join or learn more.

Do you believe we meet people for a reason?

As I lay awake in the early hours this morning, gazing at my daughter, I couldn’t help but feel overwhelmed with gratitude. Watching her peaceful face, I began to wonder what her reaction will be when she meets her sibling for the first time. The first thing that popped into my mind was her loud, exaggerated laugh, and I couldn't help but smile. It reminds me so much of a childhood friend of mine—it's funny how certain traits can spark memories of others in our lives.

My daughter often talks about how, in a past life, she was my mum, or when I was the baby and she took care of me. Her vivid imagination, or maybe something deeper, always leaves me thinking. About 7 years ago, I read an incredible book called "Spirit Babies", and it talked about the idea that our children actually choose us as their parents. That concept has stayed with me ever since. It’s such a beautiful thought, isn’t it? That we’re connected long before we even meet 🤍

I truly believe that people cross our paths for a reason, even if we don’t realise it in the moment. Some connections feel like destiny, as if they’re meant to be part of our journey, nudging us toward growth, love, or understanding. It’s like we’re drawn to certain people at certain times because they have something to teach us—or maybe we have something to teach them.

And I also believe in the power of finding "your tribe"—those people who understand and uplift you, the ones who make the journey more meaningful. It feels as though these people are meant to walk alongside you for a reason. Have you ever met someone and felt an instant, unexplainable connection? It’s as if your souls remember each other, even though you’ve never met before.

I’ve had that happen quite a few times, and it always leaves me wondering. What is that invisible thread that pulls us toward certain people? Is it fate? Is it something our soul recognizes from a past life? I don’t have all the answers, but it fascinates me to think that our lives may be more intricately woven together than we realise.

I’d love to hear your thoughts on this 💬✨

Crafting Life vs. Letting Life Happen: A Journey of Empowerment

For a long time, I went through life with a sense of unfairness. I believed life was happening to me, rather than for me. It felt unjust that I didn’t grow taller, that I wasn’t born with a special talent, or that I didn’t get more time with my mum. In the workplace, I found myself thinking it was unfair when others came up with the ideas I wish I had, or when someone else got the promotion I desperately wanted. It was as if I was always one step behind, waiting for life to deal me a better hand.

But here’s the thing: Life doesn’t just hand you everything neatly packaged. It's taken me years, and a lot of inner work, to realise that the difference between people who get what they want and those who don’t isn’t luck—it’s action. We craft our own destinies. We create the outcomes we desire, but only when we take the reins and make deliberate moves toward them.

For years, I allowed life to project itself onto me. I went along with the flow, hoping something would change, that life would suddenly feel easier or more aligned with my dreams. But I’ve come to see that letting life happen to you is not the path to fulfillment. It’s limiting. It’s passive. It’s like standing on the shore, watching waves crash, while never daring to dive in and swim.

The moment I decided to take ownership, things shifted. I started asking myself, “What can I do to move toward what I truly want?” I realised that no one was going to give me permission to live the life of my dreams. I had to do it for myself. The feeling of taking action and seeing results—big or small—is incredibly empowering. It reminds you that you are the creator of your reality.

So, if there’s something you want, if you have a dream that’s been lingering in your heart, ask yourself: “What action can I take right now to move toward that dream?” It doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be monumental. But it has to be intentional. The smallest step forward is still a step in the right direction.

Have an amazing start to the weekend 🤍

In my late teens, as a university student, I had no idea how to cook. Like many of us at that age, I lived on instant noodles and whatever I could throw together with minimal effort. I vividly remember one of my flatmates shouting at her mum on the phone about a defective tin opener, and the funny thing is, I didn’t know how to use one either! It’s wild to think back to those days and realise how little I knew about something as basic as feeding myself.

Fast forward to my mid-20s, and things started to shift. I gradually learned how to cook, experimenting with everything from hearty roasts to flavorful curries. Cooking became a passion of mine, and I loved creating meals that not only tasted good but brought people together. I thought I had it all figured out – delicious food on the table, compliments from friends and family – what could go wrong? Yet, like many other life lessons, it turns out I had more to learn.

Enter pregnancy, and with it, gestational diabetes. Suddenly, I was faced with a whole new reality: my love for cooking didn’t necessarily mean I was feeding my body what it truly needed. All those rich sauces and desserts that went with the Sunday roast weren’t doing me any favors! I had to reassess everything I thought I knew about food and nutrition. It was a humbling experience, to say the least.

When I found out I had gestational diabetes for the second time, I decided to dive deeper. I wasn’t going to let this setback be just another challenge; instead, I saw it as an opportunity to really upskill and educate myself about my body and macros. I started paying closer attention to the nutritional value of the food I was eating, learning how to better balance my meals and take control of my health. It hasn't been easy, but it is a powerful lesson in adapting, growing, and accepting that sometimes we need to go back to basics.

What’s interesting about life is that it’s constantly throwing curveballs our way. It’s easy to feel frustrated when things don’t go as planned, but I’ve come to realise that each challenge brings a lesson –if you're open to learning it.

So.. what lesson has the universe taught you today?

Why I stopped following society's norms ...

As a child, I was conditioned to follow a very clear path: study hard, get a secure job, buy a house, get married, and follow all the traditional norms of society. I did all of those things, yet despite my best efforts, much of it didn’t work out the way I had imagined. Instead of feeling fulfilled, I often found myself feeling trapped and contracted by these expectations.

I struggled with the daily grind and constantly wondered if I was the only one counting down the hours at work, wishing for something more. Did everyone feel this way, or was it just me? I felt stuck in a job that didn’t align with who I was, and it left me questioning everything.

Then, becoming a mum changed everything. It felt so expansive and freeing to step into that role, only to be forced back into the cycle six months later. Balancing a full-time career, nursery runs, cooking, and playtime was overwhelming, and before long, it took a toll on my health and well-being.

By my late 20s and early 30s, I started to question the life I was living even more. Was this really all there was? Was I supposed to just hang on until retirement? I wasn’t willing to spend the next 30-40 years counting down the days to some distant future. So, I began looking for an alternative way to live and earn an income.

That's when I found the online space and a new way to create a life that aligned with my values. It has allowed me to grow personally, professionally, and emotionally. I’ve discovered something I truly enjoy, that makes me a better version of myself every day, and allows me to live life on my own terms.

If my story resonates with you, or if you’ve ever felt the same, I’d love to share more about this journey with you. Drop me a message, and we can chat about how you too could create an income while building a life you truly love. 🤍

*Slowing down to get forward*

Time management has always been a struggle for me. At work, I was the efficient one who got things done, so I kept taking on more without saying no. In my personal life, I was always the friend who responded quickly and made myself available. It left me feeling constantly busy, but not necessarily fulfilled or aligned with my true goals.

Through personal development, I discovered meditation. At first, it felt strange to slow down and do "nothing," but it’s been a game-changer. Meditation has quieted my mind, bringing more focus, clarity, and a sense of peace I didn’t even know I was missing. Now, I’m more intentional about my time and energy.

The biggest shift? I’ve learned it’s not about how much you do, but how aligned your actions are with your real goals. That short period of stillness helps me prioritize what matters most and actually become more productive in the long run.

If you're feeling overwhelmed or out of sync, I encourage you to try meditation. It’s helped me approach my ambitions with more calm and efficiency.

I used to think in the past I couldn't do meditation and I now realise that thought alone was the very reason I needed to break through and persevere. Let me know - is meditation part of your daily routine? 🧘‍♀️🤍

A crystal clear connection 🔮

When I was a child, the tools we had to get through the day were simple yet meaningful. Whether it was a lucky charm, a comforting blanket, or even a special toy, these objects had a way of making us feel safe and grounded. They gave us something to hold onto when the world felt uncertain. We didn't always understand why they worked, but they did. Back then, my family didn’t have the awareness of the energy and power that could come from things like crystals.

It wasn’t until I was in my twenties that I was gifted my first crystal and they quickly became a kind of tool for me, just like the ones I had when I was young, though now they resonated with a deeper, spiritual meaning. Over time, I learned to connect with their energy, using them to help navigate life’s ups and downs, just as those childhood objects once had.

Earlier today, after an appointment, I found myself walking past a crystal shop. Something about it drew me in, almost like a magnetic pull. I wasn’t sure what I was looking for, but I trusted the feeling and stepped inside. At first, I thought I needed protection for myself, so I purchased a black quartz bracelet and some other stones. But even after that, I felt there was something more I needed.

Then it hit me—I wanted something for my daughter. She had just transitioned from nursery to school. So many changes are happening in her little world, and I wanted to give her something that would help her feel safe and strong. I chose a rose quartz stone for her, a soft, loving crystal that I hoped would offer her the same sense of protection that I had come to appreciate. I told her it was her power crystal, and of course, she immediately compared it to the mighty pups and asked where her superpowers were! 😂 But beyond the playful comparison, I could see it gave her something real—something she could carry with her when she felt worried or stressed.

It got me thinking—what other tools and tricks do parents use to offer their little ones reassurance and protection? I would love to hear your thoughts on how you support your children through life’s transitions, big or small. 🤍

Divine Timing

Have you ever started something and it just didn’t feel right? Like no matter what you did, obstacles kept getting in the way?

Last year, I felt so alive and committed to my business. But this year has been tough—illness, pregnancy, and setbacks. Now, six days into my morning routine (a 100% improvement on last years’), I finally feel that inner spark again. I’m ready to start afresh, I’m feeling good and full of energy.

The summer break made me realise the changes I need,to create the life I truly want—one free from limits on time or income. I’ve decided on an abundant life where I spend more time with my family, stress-free, with gratitude for each day.

Now, I’m a more refined version of who I was last year. It feels so good to reignite my purpose and ambition.

For anyone who relates - If you’ve had a tough day, week, month or year - it’s okay. Don’t let your dreams fade. Keep the fire alive, and pick yourself up, day after day. 🩷

Three weeks down, four more to go. 🕰️

We're halfway through the summer holidays, and I have to admit, it’s been more challenging than I anticipated. I naively thought I was prepared, but covering childcare has proven to be a full-time job on top of my existing responsibilities. Cooking extra meals, managing the additional housework, and balancing work while caring for my daughter has stretched me in ways I didn’t expect.

I’ve always loved spending time with my daughter, and seeing her personality blossom over these weeks has been a joy. But I’ve also struggled with my own emotions, feeling overwhelmed and tired—especially with being pregnant. I used to inadvertently judge parents who said they dreaded summer break, but now, after experiencing weeks of it first-hand, I completely understand how tough it can be. It’s not just fun outings and lazy days; it’s a constant juggling act.

These weeks have given me a glimpse into what homeschooling might be like - a mix of rewarding moments and challenges. It’s solidified my desire to explore that path in the future, but it’s also made me realise how much dedication and patience it truly requires. I’m grateful for this time, even on the hard days, and I’m embracing the growth it’s bringing for both of us.

I’m doing my best to create beautiful memories, taking her out as much as possible, and cherishing these moments of togetherness. But I’d be lying if I said it hasn’t been exhausting, and there have been moments where I’ve questioned how I’ll get through the next four weeks. One thing's for sure - despite being pregnant I've never been more toned with the amount of time we have spent outdoors!

Here’s to the rest of the summer — more memories, more lessons, and more love. 💕 How are you finding the summer break? Please recommend any must-see or must-do activities in London ⏬

25/07/2024

When my daughter first started childcare, I didn’t fully appreciate the value of attending Christmas parties or other nursery activities. I was caught up in the whirlwind of juggling work, parenting, and the demands of daily life. At the time, I believed that missing these events wouldn’t matter so much. I felt my time was better spent working to provide for our family, assuming my presence wouldn’t make a significant difference to her.

However, this year, my perspective has shifted dramatically. Watching my daughter grow at an astonishing pace has opened my eyes. Earlier this week, I attended her pre-school sports day, and it was an emotional experience. Seeing the joy and pride on her face when she spotted me in the crowd made me realise how important these moments are to her; and how much they should matter to me. Her excitement and happiness showed me how much she values my presence and support.

I regret missing those early events, but I’ve learned a valuable lesson: I can’t turn back time, but I can make different choices moving forward. This isn’t about criticising any parent who has missed a child’s event. We all have our reasons, and life is a complex balancing act. Rather, I want to share my journey as a gentle reminder of how quickly time passes and how much our support means to our children.

The transformation in my mindset largely stems from my online business, which has helped me focus on my priorities. It has given me the flexibility to spend more quality time with my daughter and be present for her important milestones. This change has been instrumental in helping me realise what truly matters in life. It’s not just about providing financially but being there to celebrate life’s moments together. If you’ve ever felt stuck in a routine, overwhelmed by responsibilities, or unsure about how to realign your priorities, you’re not alone. Many of us struggle with finding the right balance between work and family. But I’ve discovered that it is possible to create a life where both can coexist harmoniously. It starts with a mindset shift and a willingness to embrace change.

Are you tired of sacrificing your well-being for your job?

I was once in that exact position, juggling a demanding corporate career, managing a home, and raising a child, all while putting my own needs last. I hadn’t stepped into a salon or spa for years, and being the primary EVERYTHING took a toll on me.

The wake-up call came when I developed alopecia. It forced me to reevaluate my life and prioritise myself. The thought of going to work with visible hair loss was daunting, and I realised it was time for a breakthrough.

When I discovered an online business opportunity that promised to replace and even surpass my salary in just a few hours a day, I knew I had to take the leap. It felt like an intuitive decision. If I could be successful working for someone else, why not for myself?

Now, I am on a path of transformation. Every day, I am working towards building the life I’ve always dreamed of. My self-belief is growing, and I’m seeing the possibilities ahead.

With just over 23 weeks left in the year, I’ve set ambitious goals for myself. I’ve learned that if you don’t push yourself, no one will, and you’ll stay exactly where you are.

We hear about living the life we desire. I’m thrilled to have made an extra effort for my daughter’s summer holiday starting tomorrow. In the past, I would have defaulted to finding childcare, but now I’m intentionally choosing how I spend my time to make the next six weeks unforgettable. We have the power to write our own story. Whether you choose a traditional workweek or an adventure with your family, the choice is yours.

If you'd like to hear how I'm escaping the rat race to pursue a life of joy, fulfilment and choice, drop me 'show me' and I'll get back to you ✨

For as long as I can remember, I've struggled with saying "No."

I began my career in property from the ground up, where it was just expected that you'd take on any task handed to you. Every evening was spent socialising, and it felt like there was no time to breathe.

Being young and supposedly full of energy, I often found myself exhausted in my twenties. It felt like I was constantly running on empty, with no time to recharge.

I carried this habit of over committing into every part of my life. Even when something was inconvenient for me, I’d still say yes.

Everything changed for me in 2020. As I prepared to become a mother, I realised that I needed to change my priorities to focus on my family and myself. The pandemic taught me how crucial it is to protect our own rights, and I learned that meant being able to say “No.”

Now, I am laser-focused on what truly matters, and I’ve become comfortable with saying "No" to anything that doesn't align with my priorities. The only exception is for my little Queen—although I plan to be much stricter with baby number two! 🤦‍♀️🤪

Learning to set boundaries has been life-changing. It’s empowering to finally put myself first and design a life that reflects my true values and aspirations.

Have you ever struggled with saying "No"? What changes have you made to put yourself first?

What gives you your sense of purpose?

Becoming a mum in 2020 was a pivotal time for me. It was the year I stepped out of the routine of living to work and embraced the beautiful chaos of living my own life.

Motherhood has given me a profound sense of purpose. Every day, I wake up inspired by my little one, and it’s in those small, precious moments that I find my true calling.

It's not just about raising a child; it's about growing alongside them and discovering new depths of love, strength, and joy. This journey has redefined who I am and what truly matters to me. 💕

Life can get overwhelming, especially when you're juggling demanding work schedules and personal responsibilities. It’s easy to feel like you're constantly running on empty. And guess what? It's OK to not be OK.

If you're feeling stressed, burned out, or just stuck in a rut, know that you're not alone. Many of us are searching for more balance and a sense of control over our lives. I for one, experienced the consequence of running on stress - the school run, long hours at work, school pick-up, cook, clean, more work repeat. The struggle resulted in me being constantly tired, and I wasn't the best version of myself for my family.

This is where starting an online business can be a game-changer.

Here’s why you might want to consider it:

1. Flexibility:
Running an online business allows you to set your own hours. Imagine working on your terms, fitting in work around your life instead of the other way around.

2. Extra Income:
A side business can supplement your income, easing financial pressures and giving you more freedom to enjoy life’s little luxuries.

3. Passion Projects:
Ever had a hobby or passion you wished you could turn into a career? Online businesses provide a platform to do just that, letting you work on something you truly love.

4. Personal Growth:
Starting a business is a learning experience. You'll acquire new skills, boost your confidence, and open up new opportunities for personal and professional growth.

5. Community Support:
The online business community is incredibly supportive and ambitious. You are the sum of the five people you spend the most time with.

Getting Started

1. Identify Your Niche:
Think about what you're passionate about or where you see a market need. This could be anything from handmade crafts to digital marketing services.

2. Set Up Online:
Create a website or set up a shop on platforms like Etsy and Shopify. Utilise social media to promote your business and connect with potential customers.

3. Learn and Grow:
Take advantage of online courses, coaches, webinars, and tutorials.

Let's Talk About That One Thing That Keeps Us Up at Night… MONEY. 💬

Ladies, Gents, I know this will hit home for many of us—whether you're already a parent or dreaming of becoming one. How do we afford maternity/paternity leave, and then manage the ongoing expenses of raising a child?

When I found out I was pregnant back in 2020, I was thrilled, but reality hit hard. I hadn’t saved a penny specifically for this. The thought of living off a reduced income during maternity leave gave me sleepless nights. And, to be honest, I didn't even dare to think about the ongoing cost of childcare—it was too overwhelming.

During my pregnancy, the pandemic forced us into lockdown, which ironically helped me cut down on spending. No more dining out or entertainment expenses. I managed to save up the equivalent of my housing costs, which was
crucial since for part of my leave, I'd be relying on basic state maternity pay—around £600 a month.

Then came the bombshell: the cost of childcare. Twice my housing costs! I went back to work, just to keep the bills paid.

But life has a way of teaching us, doesn't it? As I began adding educational courses and activities for my daughter, I realized we were no longer financially comfortable. We were simply making ends meet, with little left over to save each month.

As time passed; It became clear that our two incomes weren't enough for a comfortable household and so I looked for a way to create additional income on my own terms. The solution? Starting an online business.

I had zero experience in business, but I took the plunge. I refused to accept just getting by—I wanted luxurious holidays, quality tutoring, and a great lifestyle for my little one, and maybe even a second child.

Now, as I approach my next maternity leave, I feel something unexpected—excitement. The possibility of never returning to a traditional job is within reach.

I'm still navigating this path, but my heart is full of hope and optimism. We're held back when we stay small, but there’s a world of potential out there 💫

➡️ If you're curious about adding another income stream and want to explore the online space I'm in, drop me a message and I'll get back to you.
