On today's show, Matt and Brett will explore the hottest political news topics from this past week. Starting with the attempted assassination of President Trump at a rally in Pennsylvania. There is a lot of speculation as to what went wrong, why it happened, and what it means for the presidential race.

Next up, we will discuss J.D. Vance's Vice Presidential Nomination at the RNC and how, from humble beginnings, he has catapulted into the Republican Party's political stratosphere.

Finally, rumors are flying that President Biden may be stepping down from his presidential race after many in his Party find him unfit for a second term. We'll look at what's next for Biden if he does step down.

Trump's literal strength under fire was unmistakeable today. Despite some close calls, we've been spared actual bloodshed in Presidential politics for many years. Our prayers are with President Trump and the innocent bystanders who suffered from this senseless violence. The fight for freedom must not waver.

Hello Friends!

Brett and Matt have an exciting show in store today, analyzing all the latest drama in Presidential politics as Joe Biden attempts to restore confidence in his candidacy, even while creating new doubts on a daily basis.

They plan to talk battleground states, with latest polling showing Trump to be competitive in many states thought unwinnable even a month ago.

And who will Trump's V.P. pick turn out to be? They have plenty of thoughts and opinions on this one too.

Today, we have a great show lined up on a very hot topic! Special guest Kara Rollins, Litigation Council for the New Civil Liberties Alliance, will join us today to discuss a breaking Supreme Court ruling that curtails federal agencies' power! The ruling overturned a 40-year-old "Chevron deference" decision that gave federal agencies broad regulatory power. The ruling has upended certain federal agencies' authority to issue regulations unless Congress has spoken clearly.

Conservative legal groups have long sought to reverse or weaken Chevron v. National Resources Defense Council, which was decided in 1984. The court's ruling in two related cases is a significant victory for the conservative movement. Those opposing that landmark ruling, which challenged a regulation enacted by the Environmental Protection Agency under the Clean Air Act, claim the Chevron doctrine gives unelected federal bureaucrats too much power to craft regulations affecting significant areas of American life, such as the workplace, the environment, and health care. Kara will offer us her expert opinion on the ruling and what the decision means for conservatives. Make sure to tune in at 4 p.m. today!

Today, on America in View, Brett and Matt are joined by Brett O'Donnell, a Renowned Debate Coach and Strategist who, for several decades, has served as a message and media strategist for Presidential candidates, Governors, Senators, and numerous members of Congress.

What's on our radar for the show? You guessed it, the Presidential Debate. In a historic clash of personality and policy, Biden and Trump took the stage for the first presidential debate of the 2024 election. This high-stakes event provided a rare opportunity for both candidates to move the needle in their direction. Looking frail and confused, Biden could hardly keep up with the line of questioning, while Trump was on point and obviously the debate winner.

Join us as we discuss the debate highlights and low points with Brett O'Donnell. Brett, who has vast experience in the political consulting world, will offer his take on the debate and the following polls, which lauded President Trump as the winner. The Democrats are in crisis mode, as their Presidential nominee looked anything but Presidential. This race will be interesting to watch!

Today on America in View, Brett and Matt are joined by Florida State Senator Jay Trumbull, Chairman of the Commerce and Tourism Committee. Tune in at 4 p.m. and join us for an informative discussion with Senator Trumbull as he updates us on Gov. DeSantis signing the "Focus on Florida's Future" Budget for Fiscal Year 2024-2025. The Focus on Florida’s Future Budget totals $116.5 billion—less than the previous fiscal year—which reflects a reduction in overall state spending.

Brett and Matt also want to talk to Senator Trumbull about the public policy and infrastructure challenges facing the Panhandle as Florida experiences rapid growth. It is no secret that the Free State of Florida is experiencing an influx of residents from blue states seeking to call Florida their home. This also brings with it a new set of challenges for State Officials as the need for housing and infrastructure expands.

As always, they will discuss trending news in national politics. As a nation, we are dealing with the tragic consequences of the failed Biden border policy, as we hear more and more accounts of horrific crimes committed by illegal aliens.

Brett and Matt are getting fired up for today's show! They have a special treat today with Florida State Representative and Chairman of the House Commerce Committee Bob Rommel joining us. Tune in to hear from Rep. Rommel on the great progress made in the Florida Legislature with rolling back the Left's so-called D.E.I. standards.

They will also discuss protecting free speech on campuses. Florida has set the standard by stopping college administrations at public universities from heavy-handed regulation of political speech by conservative students. Rep. Rommel, sponsor of the legislation, has led the way to defend the first amendment rights of all students in Florida.

Florida is the haven of freedom and free enterprise! As blue states seek to strip away freedoms and stifle small business, the Free State of Florida is growing in numbers and prominence! And the flood of new residents from these states shows that it's working!

31/05/2024

Today, Matt and Brett are going to do their best to walk through the Trump verdict and make sense of what this means for the election in November—and most importantly, what it means for our country. While most observers on both sides of the partisan spectrum expected hostility for Trump in a New York trial, the outcome has still shocked the world, leading one commentator to describe it as “America’s first-ever Stalinist trial.”

In a remarkable twisting of law and legal standards, the New York state judicial system pieced together fragments of law to make a case against Trump—even though multiple authorities with jurisdiction over the matter, especially on questions of campaign finance, had already passed on bringing any allegation of wrongdoing.

It’s important to understand how weak the case was—and to push back on this abuse of the justice system.

Brett and Matt are honoring Memorial Day with Two Very Special Veterans this week. Grant Martin is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army (Special Forces), and Russell Doster is a former U.S. Marine who served in the Vietnam War and is Matt and Brett's Father. Tune in as we discuss the conflicts in American History and the cost to American lives and families. This weekend, let's remember and honor those brave souls, and not forget those who struggle with the aftermath of war.

Martin will discuss the pressures soldiers experience in wartime conflicts and the impact on their families and loved ones. He will also discuss how deployed soldiers deal with the pressure of missing the major life events of their children, often over the course of 12 to 18 months.

Russell Doster will share some of his experience during the Vietnam War, where he was wounded in combat. Russell served with the Third Battalion Fourth Marines during the Tet Offensive in 1967 and 1968.

Please tune in and join us in honoring our brave fallen and the families they left behind.

This week, Brett and Matt are joined by special guest John Stemberger. John is the President of Liberty Council Action, a law and policy education, training, and advocacy organization founded in 1986. From offices in Washington, DC, and Orlando, Florida, LCA advances religious freedom, the sanctity of human life, the family, responsible government, national security, and support for Israel at the federal, state, and local levels.

Today, we are tackling a sensitive issue that has divided friends and family: abortion. On the ballot is Florida's Amendment Four. This Measure seeks to enshrine Roe vs Wade abortion rights as State Law in the Florida Constitution. It is veiled as reproductive rights when, in truth, it is a license to kill. We will listen as John offers his insight into the Amendment and, if it passes, what it will mean for the radical left's push against Family, God, and the lives of the unborn.

This week, Brett and Matt are diving into the day's topics! They will discuss the latest battleground polls, which are not looking too good for Biden. It seems his hard-core supporters are experiencing buyer's remorse. The nation is familiar with and knows each candidate, so minds are being made up before election day. They will also discuss the battle that Trump faces in winning Arizona and Georgia on his way to the White House again. Also up for discussion is Robert Kennedy's bid for the Presidency and how it plays into the undecided voters seeking an alternative candidate.

Then, they will discuss the ongoing lawlessness on campuses across the nation, with rioters and pro-Hamas agitators taking control of buildings and properties. The problem only seems to be getting worse.

What's next for America? Tune in and find out!

The ink was barely dry on the Education Department’s vast rewrite of Title IX before three separate federal lawsuits were filed in quick succession in courthouses in Louisiana, Texas, and Alabama.

The essential elements of each lawsuit share a common theme: The Biden administration’s new Title IX rule is illegal.

Three federal lawsuits at the same time challenge the Education Department's new Title IX rule, claiming it’s illegal and violates U.S. law.

Brett and Matt are getting ready for today’s show at 4 p.m. They have a lot to cover with special guest Michael Brickman. Michael is a fellow at the American Enterprise Institute, where he focuses on higher education and cutting-edge innovation in education reform. He advises companies, nonprofits, and investors on the innovations changing how we work and learn.

What’s on deck for today’s show? You’ve probably guessed it: the woke agenda in our colleges and universities. For the past week, the news has been flooded with coverage of the chaos happening at Columbia University in New York City. DEI-brainwashed students have disrupted the campus, inciting violence and threatening Jewish students and faculty. This is not an isolated incident. Similar anti-Israel encampments have popped up at other elite schools across the country.

Recently, Michael wrote an article on the Columbia University protests where he called on Joe Biden to make good on his threat to take action if institutions could not maintain a “learning environment that is free from discrimination.” Tune in at 4 p.m. to learn more about Michael’s view on DEI and its involvement in this surge in antisemitism and what needs to be done to get our colleges and universities back on track.

Riley Gaines praises girls who refused to compete with trans athletes as West Virginia takes law to Supreme Court.

"Again, 13, 14 years old, they’re in middle school yet they’re the ones who are forced to be the adults in the room to advocate for their own rights to quality opportunity, safety, and privacy which were once ensured by Title IX..."

Riley Gaines praised the middle school girls who refused to compete against a transgender athlete at a championship meet earlier this month.

Columbia University faces calls for tuition refunds as the school moves to hybrid classes for the rest of the semester in the wake of anti-Israel protests.

“It’s terrible how weak the school’s leaders – and especially its faculty – are,” Former White House press secretary Ari Fleischer wrote. “The school should be fully open (no remote classes) and students who disrupt other students should be expelled.”

Classes on the university’s main campus will be hybrid through the end of the Spring 2024 semester on April 29.

Denver Mayor Mike Johnston defunds police force by more than $8 million to aid migrants.

He announced $45 million in funding for programs to help deal with the skyrocketing number of migrant arrivals it is facing, resulting in over $8 million in budget cuts for the police department.

Denver is making cuts to public services, including the police, to dig up an additional $45 million to fund care for a deluge of migrants coming into the liberal city.

Speaker Johnson to Put Democrats on Record With Vote on Proof of Citizenship to Vote

“When we put this bill on the floor, you’re going to see a recorded vote by Republicans and Democrats. You’ll see that Republicans stand for election integrity,” Johnson said.

Speaker Johnson says the legislation will put Democrats on the record on whether Americans alone should vote in U.S. elections.

We're getting ready for our show today at 4:00 p.m. and are looking forward to a great conversation with Adam N. Michel, Director of Tax Policy Studies at the Cato Institute. We'll talk with Adam about one of life's two certainties: taxes!

Joe Biden has asked for across the board tax increases on those making over $400,000 per year, which would make the United States a "tax rate outlier" among the world's largest economies. See the chart from Adam's latest article: under Biden's proposal, only Columbia would have a higher corporate tax rate among developed economies.

What can we do about it? And what can be done to change how Americans view their tax bills? Listen today as we tackle this and many other important issues!

President Joe Biden proposes raising the corporate income tax rate, capital gains tax rate, and personal income tax rates, among other tax increases. These hikes would make the United States an international outlier, with some of the highest tax rates in the developed world.

The Biden tax hikes would primarily fall on capital income, leading to less domestic investment, fewer jobs, and slower economic growth.

Imposing internationally high tax rates on American workers, investors, and employers would not address the US fiscal problems and would come at a high economic cost.
