- Sometimes flights cancel cause of weather, so we suggest booking it for the first or second day of your stay; in case of cancellation, you'll have time to postpone it to another day.

Here are a few tips to help you get outstanding photos:

We suggest staying in the town of Pamukkale itself overnight to have a fantastic sunrise photoshoot with hot air balloons flying over the thermal pools!
For the sunrise, shoot go from the southern entrance which opens at 6:30 am

Sunrise will create shadows over the pools! Because the sun comes up from behind the mountain. But you can still catch good shots with hot air balloons; you must be quick before the tour buses arrive!

Sunset is the best for photos because the stunning colors are reflected in the pools when the sun goes down. But you have to find the photo spots far from the crowd!

We lived in Antalya for 4 months and explored a lot in Turkey! So these facts about Antalya might be very different from what you can generally find online 💥

❌ Do not look for a "Beach Club" on Lara Beach!
Just with a simple search, you'll find many beach clubs on Instagram in Lara beach with flashy photos, but the fact is that there is no beach club there! There are only old and dirty mattresses on the beach! 😱

❌ Antalya is called a touristy beach town, but it's not!
The town has only Lara and Konyaalti beaches! The best beaches are private for resorts! 😕

❌ There are not many sights to visit in the town!
Most of the sights are out of town with pretty far distance; to visit them, you need to book a tour or rent a car! 🚗

❌ Antalya is not only for the themed all-inclusive resorts!
So get out of the resort and explore! Remember that almost all the shops around the resorts have fake branded products and sell everything at much higher prices! For shopping is better to visit malls in the town 🛍️

Spend some time at the Cleopatra Pools, But expect it to be crowded from around 11 am! Go early!!!

You only need to buy an additional ticket if you want to swim in the Cleopatra pools.

The southern entrance is directly to the ancient city and opens at 6:30 am.

Kemer is one of the holiday resorts located about 43 km on the western coast of Antalya, Turkey. Visiting Kemer is worth its natural beauty and fun activities.

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM TRABZON ❓

Trabzon is one of Turkey's important historical and cultural centers, so expect to see a very traditional Turkish city!

❗️ Our first day in Trabzon was Friday; many people passed the town center carrying a little carpet! What's that all about?! Then we left the restaurants and saw hundreds of Muslims praying on the main square!
That's something you wouldn't really see in most Turkish cities!

❗️ It's tough to find alcohol and so expensive for Turkish Lira currency! There are only a few small shops selling alcohol in Trabzon, and after buying, you'll receive it in a black plastic bag!!! 😱

✅ We highly recommend staying in a mountain bungalow! Specially if your trip is during the snowy weather!

✅ 2-3 days is enough to explore most of Trabzon!

🛩️ Planes from Ankara, Istanbul, and Izmir arrive in Trabzon every day; also, Trabzon can be reached by bus from any major Turkish city.

We didn’t search a lot to choose where to go for our honeymoon as Cappadocia was such a dreamy option, and no reason to say no! Even though the beginning of November isn’t the high season for Cappadocia, we had an absolutely fantastic time there!

Cappadocia’s beautiful landscapes, fabulous fairy chimneys, majestic volcanoes, and colorful mountain ranges are unforgettable. Enjoying our stay in a cave hotel made it even more special.

This fantastic landscape with hundreds of hot air balloons flying over the sky during sunrise is magical. Famous fairytale scenery has many perfect viewpoints for enjoying and taking pictures of sunrise and sunset.

In our opinion, Cappadocia should be the first must-visit city for anyone visiting Turkey! We’re looking forward to making a trip back, but this time during the winter, and seeing how gorgeous the city will be then.

Don’t expect cars to stop; pedestrian crossing doesn’t mean much here.

This is unfortunate for a very tourist country, but most people cannot say “yes” or “no”! Or if you ask, “do you speak English?” In most cases, you won’t get any response or not even a try. Google translate will save your life!

❌ Squat challenge!
If you’re planning a road trip, visiting mosques, or exploring smaller towns, be ready for traditional squat toilets, which are almost always very dirty and slippery.

❌ Not stable internet connection!
While you can usually find Wi-Fi everywhere, the internet connection is unstable. It constantly drops, even in hotels and restaurants. It’s often too slow or stops working entirely from time to time.

❌ Booking.com doesn’t work in Turkey!
While you can book hotels in Turkey from your country, the website doesn’t work if you’re already in Turkey.

Many places don’t accept card payments, or they will charge you extra for VAT if you pay by card.

✅ Buy a local SIM card right away!
Most Wi-Fi spots require a Turkish number to get the passcode for Wi-Fi access.

✅ Turkey is safe!
Because of the media, most people think traveling to Turkey is unsafe, but that’s not true!
We traveled to Turkey many times and stayed a long time but never felt unsafe or had a bad experience. Turkish people are generally honest, kind, and ready to help, especially in smaller towns and local places. (You might not find this in Istanbul)

✅ Street cats and dogs are part of the scenery!
Expect to see them everywhere. They are taken care of by locals and are pretty friendly.

✅ Tea is a sign of hospitality!
The host will most likely offer you a freshly-brewed cup as you go to smaller towns and more traditional areas. Some may get offended if you refuse!

✅ Always bargain in local markets/bazaars!
In local markets, often there are no price tags on the products, and when the sellers know you’re a tourist will give you a much higher price… But now it’s time to bargain!

📍Maldives 🇲🇻 SNORKELING 🤿 Definitely, snorkeling is a MUST TO DO in the Maldives ✅ Even though for us was extra challenging because I (Natasha) have fear of water since childhood and cannot swim 😨 but being in the Maldives and being able to swim with turtles and beautiful fishes was more attractive than my fear! 🤩🐢🐠 First we tried the 15 minutes complimentary snorkeling which been provided from our hotel. That normally take a place near a wooden platform not far from the resort and not in deep water! 🤿 perfect for the first try! 🐠 That was so beautiful and exciting that we’ve booked our snorkeling tour right after 🤗 Snorkeling equipment and life jacket will make it much easier and made me feel more safe 🛟 For the snorkeling tour you’ll be picked up by the speed boat from your resort to go about 20-30 minutes far, then you have to jump from the boat in a deep ocean water 🫣 That’s the scariest part specially for me (Natasha) 🙄 Be ready.. Water is so deep that you cannot even see the end of it 🫣 In our tour even some people who can swim and not afraid of water, weren’t able to swim in so deep water! 😖 But now is the amazing time.. just follow the beautiful fishes and look for the turtles 🐢 We were lucky enough to swim with a turtle during all our snorkeling tour! 🐢🐠 (Scroll left for the photos and videos) ❗️FEW TIPS: ✅ All the way of snorkeling you’ll have your tour guide swimming with you, so in case of any problem he’ll help you to get to the boat faster! ✅ All the snorkeling equipment are provided with the tour you book! ✅ we suggest you to rent a snorkeling camera, so you can take videos and photos without being worried about your own phone and camera! 📍Maldives 🇲🇻 LANDING IN THE MALDIVES.. There are 3 ways to access to your resort: - By Seaplane 🛩 - By Speedboat 🚤 - Or Both 🛩🚤 📌 Ensure that you ask your hotel to arrange the transfer for you! SPEEDBOAT: ✅ will save you budget ✅ Is good for islands near Male international airport ❌ If you’re going further, it will be long and tiring! SEAPLANE: ✅ Is a beautiful experience when landing in middle of the ocean ✅ It is a faster option for reaching further islands ✅ A boat will still need to get from the landing point and take you to the entrance of your resort! So by picking the seaplane you get 2 in 1 !! ❌ More expensive We picked the Seaplane.. Yes it was a little more pricey but absolutely worth it! The amazing and unique experience of taking off from the sea and then landing in the middle of the ocean just before sunset was unforgettable! The speedboat took about 30 minutes or so and was right through sunset! 🥰 It felt like we were in a movie, completely surreal!!
