Think about it- your skin is your largest organ in the body so when it has things like psoriasis, acne or eczema- these are signals that something is out of balance or not functioning properly internally.

This is why things such as pills or creams wont fix the problem long term. They will cause a temporary bandaid fix but if the imbalance is still in your body, digestion is not working properly, you are feeding it foods it doesn't love or you don't support your hormones- these skin conditions will always return.

You skin can be sending you signals of hormonal imbalances, poor diet, lack of sleep, lack of hydration, lack of nutrition, disease, nutrients deficiencies or allergies.

If you have skin issues, listen to them. Take them as a sign that something needs to change. I used to have AWFUL adult acnes so I understand that it is easier said than done but your skin issues can be seen as a blessing.

The reason? The longer imbalances, deficiencies or lack of proper function in the body, the higher your chances are of developing something much worse than skin issues.

Tis' the season of setting goals.

Something about the New Year has everyone thinking about the future, maybe?

I think it is important to set goals, always. Always be looking to the future and thinking of what you want.

BUT do it in a way that you resonate with.

Do it because you want to, not because you 'need' to.

Set goals at all times of the year, for all aspects of your life.

Know that achieving goals is not easy but it is worth every step of effort.

If you feel that you WANT to set goals for the new year, then do it.

My tip- THINK BIG. BIGGER than you could have ever imagined.

It is SO much nicer to set BIG goals and fall short VS setting small goals and falling short. TRUST ME.

I have been there & I have lived it.

Now is the time of year where everyone starts thinking 'New Year, New You'. In my opinion- no need for a new you.

What is needed is for you to recognize where you make excuses & what excuses are valid.

The biggest one I hear is TIME. The thing is, you will always have & you always will make time for the things that are important to you.

If you health is important, then you would find the time.

Instead of looking for a 'New You' this year- how about you look at what is important to you. When you find what is important then you will find the time, energy & resources to make the changes you would love to make.

Motivation isn't a skill or tool.

It is a reason to act or behave a certain way.

If you lack 'motivation' it means that you aren't giving yourself enough reason to show up, even when it is hard.

The 'motivation' you wish you had is inside of you. It's in your reason WHY.

It is also in your ability to not quit when it gets hard. In your ability to show up when it does get hard.

If you are looking for 'motivation' then look inside. Ask yourself- why am I not 'motivated'? What am I lacking in a reason to show up? You will have the answers if you listen.

How we show up today is all from our past. This sometimes works to our advantage sometimes it doesnโ€™t.

I try to constantly remind myself to take a step back when it comes to an emotional response, negative thoughts or habits that donโ€™t serve me. I take that step back & ask why am I even thinking or doing this? Is this real? Does this serve me? Just because something happened once, does that mean itโ€™ll happen every-time I am in a similar situation?

Itโ€™s not easy to let the past go. It teaches us lessons. The thing with the past, if we are constantly living there or being pulled there or being influenced by it, we miss this opportunity to be present. To create a different future.

Tip of the day: If you feel stuck, find someone to give you a push or tow.

You don't have to do this alone. Change is hard. Feeling stuck can feel overwhelming. Don't be shy or afraid to ask for help. It doesn't make you weak- it helps make you stronger. Lean on someone else's confidence in you to find the confidence in yourself.

You don't have to be stuck alone trying to push yourself out of your hole while also trying to steer.

Are you starving your mind?

Your mind is POWERFUL. What goes into it influences your life. Many people don't realize that they are starving their minds by not feeding it with things it needs to thrive.

They aren't learning. They aren't reading. They aren't meditating. They are surrounding themselves with people or news that feed it fear. They are mindlessly scrolling.

The good old saying 'use it or lose it' is so true about your mind. If you don't believe me, there are plenty of scientific papers to back that up.

Do you think about how you feed your mind everyday? Do you consider what you are putting into it? What you feed it, influences the view you have around you.

If you don't already, start considering what you are feeding your mind. Start feeding it or cleaning up what you feed it and you will see the positive ripple effect that will have in the rest of your life.

Do you believe in the power of words?

I do. One word can completely change a sentence or point of view. Even the way we articulate something to try and get a message across changes everything.

Think about it. If someone tells you 'You should just go to yoga.' OR they say something like 'Have you considered trying something like yoga?' Which methods sounds more inviting? Which method provokes more curiosity.

The word 'diet' is a word I am trying my best to remove from my vocabulary and replace it with eating habits, eating style or eating preferences.

When it comes to your health, do you consider more than just exercise or food?

Do you consider different pillars?

There are lots of school of thoughts out there that say there are 5 or 8 pillars.

Personally, I think that depends on each human.

I mean there is no one size fits all to health, right?

I recently was asked why did I started a podcast.

Originally, I think it was to be able to reach a larger audience and that still holds true.

More than anything I wanted to create a platform that people could come & listen to different topics relating to their health. I wanted people to see and understand that health isn't JUST what you eat or JUST how you exercise. Health is your mind, relationships, sleep & lifestyle.

I also wanted to create a place that is unbiased. I wanted to create a platform where people could come & listen to gain information to help them make decisions on what is best for the and their health.

There is no one size fits all to health (any aspect of it). It is easy to be influenced from someone who did a certain diet or eats a certain way or move a certain way that had great success in their life and think that we need to do it that way too, even if it doesn't resonate.

All in all, I wanted a space where people could feel empowered to listen to themselves and trust that they know deep down inside what is best for them.

'It's just a part of getting older'

Do you believe that getting older means that you are slowing down? That you are meant to not feel as good? You won't have as much energy? Your body is slowly starting to break down? That your quality of life is diminishing?

Let me let you in on a little secret- that does not need to be the case BUT if you are going to believe that it needs to be that way then that is exactly what will happen.

Healthy doesn't have a look to it. Just to clarify- not saying a 6 pack isn't healthy. I am saying that health doesn't have look that we need to fulfil.

Healthy is a feeling.

Healthy is a lifestyle.

Healthy is what you feed your mind.

Healthy is comes in all shapes & sizes.

Healthy doesn't mean following what others do.

Healthy means doing that that energize YOU.

Healthy is balanced.

Healthy is growth.

Healthy is different for each human.

Stop trying to 'look' a certain way to achieve healthy. Yes, fitting into old clothes might be a goal but what the dialogue from looking good in those clothes to how you FEEL in the them. Comfortable, at ease, etc.

Healthy doesn't have a look to it.

Consistency is the key to success in all ports of your life.

'Success isn't always greatness. It's about consistency. Consistent hard work leads to success. Greatness will come.' - Dwayne Johnson

Ask ANYONE successful and they will tell you consistency is the key!

Yes, it is important to rest. Rest & making excuses to not show up can be a fine line.

Showing up, especially when you don't want to, is how you can grow. It is how you will take yourself to that next step. It is easy to show up when you feel inspired, good or excited. It takes courage and a strong mind to show up when you don't want to.

My tip to be consistent: on the days you don't want to show up at all, still show up. Just cut back how long/the intensity you show up with. For example- working on your business. Instead of showing up for 6 hours and getting everything done and more, show up for an hour. Do the things you KNOW are necessary for growth, then clock out. Another example- exercise. If you are sore, tired or drained, show up for less time and with less intensity. Instead of going for an hour run, try 15 minutes.

Consistency doesn't mean 100%, 100% of the time. It means showing up daily. Sometimes how you show up with ebb & flow & that is ok!
