THE SAD STORY OF: MR KHIMBI
- Mad Cpt was a nobody before Mr Khimbi and that's a fact, but as much as the strategy worked, it's seems that it didn't really push the artist as much as he'd hoped it would, and the only thing to blame for this is the EX*****ON, from the start the quality was really bad and that kind of stick with Mr Khimbi (Mad CPT's alliase)'s brand at a vital time, so now it went from being funny to watching a 25 year old perform in diapers in this cold Cape Town weather, now that's sad. But it goes to show how much he really wants this, so please guys and girls, go and support this guy before he freezes to death.

Don't submit any music, introduce artists to any of your clients, invest or don't draft any marketing/ PR plans until you have both signed a contract.
Some artists just want everything for free or they wanna use you.

Zola and his team ignored and forgot about his brand authenticity - some artists, especially who are as big as Zola should not follow the trends, no matter how much they trying to rebrand or position themselves in the industry they should remain Authentic to their sound, values and message!!!

Event promoters
We know that most of you call the shots yourv but please balance your line up with upcoming artists- Have your celebrities but also give new TALENT an opportunity.
From the marketing perspective 👌🏾 :
Its hard to sponsor events because we know that the line up will be the same faces and we know already these artists generating income!!!
Your USP to sponsors shouldn't be we will have So and So celebrity - yes give us about your celebrities line up and but give opportunities to upcoming talent, why you need sponsorship, the experience plan of the event, benefit and the return.

Guys before you pay 5 000 to 10 000 for PAYOLA for radio play or interview to 1 compiler per radio station🙄.
Firstly let's be honest on radio it's hard to measure your song listenership, your engagement and the impact, and the results are NOT instant!!!
Please help me understand why do you still do it ?
Do you know on social media
E.g on Facebook
10 000 could help you reach 50 000 people per day for 7 days which means a week you would have reached 350 000
On top of that you can still measure the following instantly
- Your page growth
- The engagement
- Impression
- Frequency
- Click through
- Views
On top of that you can filter your target audience
Think carefully where you spend budget but its your money it's your choice 🙈🙈

Here's something we need to learn about artcovers !!!
Don't create/design an artcover for the sake of putting your music out there we won't remember you, your music or your story.
Artcovers are the first journey of your music campaign, you should consider the following
> You should tell a story
> You need to conceptualize your story
> Think of all the elements - the mood, the them, the costume, the location, the background, the image
> Reach out to the best photographer or graphic designer
> Keep it Authentic as possible and align it to your music
See what Jub Jub and Mtee did they new that their cover will get them publicity before they even release the music !!!
With Big Zulu look at the the title and and all the elements of creativity everything communicates to the title!!!
It's easy for us remember and recognize these artworks when we on the streaming platform forms
