We welcome Clarence Rise to our label. His detailed and unique style makes him one of the most interesting emerging artist and we are absolutely flattered to be able to give him a space.

Many thanks to Indefinite Pitch and On the 5th Day for the premieres, to Sheol on mastering duties and our in-house artist Uma Karimowa for the drawing.

"Dissociative Events" emerges as a new chapter in the sonic odyssey of Lucas Reldnam, known by the enigmatic pseudonym, Clarence Rise. This EP, like a finely woven tapestry, unravels an enthralling sonic narrative, commencing with the electrifying "Sleep Deprivation." An explosion of energy in the realm of downtempo, meticulously layering tension upon tension, crafting an intricate dance of rhythms that beckons without pretense.

"Ascending", a voyage into an ethereal domain, painted with an enigmatic synth stabs and the delicate sprinkle of melodic percussive stardust. The atmosphere gradually swells, whispering secrets in the wind as the track unfolds.

"Cold Idol", with its captivating halftime approach, invites you to dive deep into the recesses of your own psyche, where intricate rhythms and haunting pads dance to the relentless buzz of a pulsating bassline.

"False Self" is an enigmatic journey, a maze of repetitive echoes that ensnares you in its hypnotic grasp. Elements sneak and swirl, left to right, in a mesmerizing dance of sound and silence.

Finally, "Remedy" casts a shadow of disquiet, its oscillating melody weaving tales of uncertainty over a backdrop of tense pads. Set to a dense and electric 160 BPM pattern, it urges you to surrender to its persistent groove.

In the realm of music, "Dissociative Events" is a profound exploration of sonic landscapes, an unadorned testament to the creative spirit of Clarence Rise. It invites you to embark on a journey through rhythm and emotion, free from grandiosity, where each track whispers its own unique story in the universal language of sound.

He put together some beautiful thoughts about this unique species and its connection to his musical work:
Sublime and fascinating, deadly and curative, Digitalis Purpurea is the perfect symbol of ambivalence. It grows along most of the paths in the temperate forest of the Vosges, my roots, so it's been present throughout my whole life. This ambivalence can be found in my work. Its dangerousness makes it disquieting, like the evolution of the podcast. Its healing properties against tachycardia (illustrated by the increasing rhythm) make it an ally, a remedy.

I was a whimsical soul on a mission to bring peace to the minds of others. I spent my days crafting mystical meditation tracks, each one designed to guide listeners on a journey of self-discovery and tranquility. With the help of enchanted binaural frequencies, I set off on a quest to reach the elusive alpha state of mind.

As I journeyed through the ethereal soundscapes I'd created, I felt a sense of magic in the air. I could see my listeners' eyes close as they surrendered to the tranquility I'd crafted for them. Each person's journey was unique, taking them further down the rabbit hole of introspection and enlightenment.

It was then that I realized I could make the experience even more special. I took pieces of my original one-hour meditation track and split it into four parts, offering a new adventure with each piece.

And so, I invite you, dear listener, to join me on this quirky and mystical journey. Grab your imaginary headphones and let me guide you to a place of peace and tranquility, where you can unlock the secrets within and find enlightenment in the depths of your soul.
