Dear Evanston Community and Beyond,

In light of the events and injustices currently taking place in the US, Evanston Cov-AID and the Evanston Community Foundation have decided to postpone Day 3 of the Evanston Cov-AID concert series. We believe there is nothing more important than the livelihood of the members of our community, and we must fight the injustices and racism taking place against black people across America.

However, we must not forget about the lives that are being lost due to Coronavirus, which also severely affects the black and brown community of Evanston. If you wish to continue to make contributions toward the ECRRF to keep fighting Coronavirus, please make those donations at EvanstonCovAID.com, or at https://evanstonforever.org/giving/give-now/.

We do not want to take away from people fighting for justice, protesting, donating, educating, and all other methods of fighting for what is right. We know that our listeners and artists may be occupied with the aforementioned actions, and we want to make sure that we are not taking away from that during these times. Standing up and fighting is imperative for the just future of both Evanston and the entire country. Following this message we will be sharing a post with resources for educating, donating, signing petitions, protesting, and more. Please reach out with recommendations for more organizations/resources for us to share with our listeners.

Thank you for your support, fight, and commitment to the Evanston Community. Please reach out with any comments, questions, and ideas.

With love and hope,
The Evanston Cov-AID Team
