The world is mine!
Day 1 (Manali to Jobri, 19 km, drive 45 mins. Jobri to Chikka, 3–4 hours): Short drive from Manali, passing Prini, Sethan, and Jobra. The road ends at Jobri, and climbers will cross a small river and begin the trek from here. The route goes through mixed forests of pine, maple and birch trees, and eventually runs along the Hamta river. The day's trek ends at Chikka, where there is a waterfall close to the campsite.
Hamta Pass sits at an altitude of 4270 m (14039 ft) on the Pir Panjal range in the Himalayas. It is a small corridor between Lahaul's Chandra Valley and the Kullu valley of Himachal Pradesh, India. The nomenclature of the trek was derived from Hamta Village, located below Sethan village, as part of the trek route. This pass is frequently used by shepherds of the lower Himalayan region, seeking high altitude grasslands in the summer, when the dry cold desert of Lahaul is barren.

What I wouldn’t give for a morning like this again!
There’s whole lot more to this beautiful picture. You can’t see the roaring but breathtakingly beautiful mountain river below, you can’t see the sheer height of the stone wall of a mountain in front of me. You also can’t feel the alomst freezing but so relaxing air hitting my face (which btw was making the coffe cold in like 3mins) - and you can’t feel the meditation process I was going through while looking outside and slowly sipping on the coffee. It’s magical, and it makes you realize two things - what are you missing by living in the cities, and how insignificant you and your ego are in front of this nature of this scale!

The world I know!⠀ (Read on)👇⠀ ====================================⠀ This is the last village in Uttarakhand before China. you might've heard of the name - Mana. I'm on the trek where apparently the Pandavas walk at the end of their life towards heaven, only Yudhishthir would reach it! ⠀ 🌦️🌥️🌦️🌥️🌧️🌦️🌧️🌦️🌧️🌦️🌦️🌦️🌦️🌦️⠀ .⠀ By the time you reach this place you would've left most of the crowd behind, only the hardcore trekkers persist. ⠀ Whenever I'm at such a place I'd like to just sit for hours, especially looking at us species far down there moving like ants.⠀ Solo travel liberates!⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀ .⠀

One of the most magical, otherworldly places I've ever been to in my life. I wish I could tell you stories about this place around a fireplace. You've read about lost World - this is the world world! (I ended up going there thrive before the cloud burst destroyed it completely - last one was just 3 months before the horrible calamity 😞) More pictures coming... . . . . . . . .
