Abortion is one of the top turnout issues among Democratic voters in 2024.

Even some conservatives have moderated on the abortion issue since the overturning of Roe v. Wade… even if it is only to make it a little easier to show their faces out in public.

What better issue is there than one that rallies your supporters and makes your opponents squirm!

Women voters are expected to turnout strongly for who has long been an abortion rights advocate. Harris is projected to have a double digit lead with women voters.

While we are inclined to say that no one won the debate between and , if someone did indeed win, it may very well have been Wisconsin State Senator Chris Larson /!!!

Senator Larson, thank you for pulling us out of our post-debate depression.

Kamala performed well, proved knowledgeable and affable. No great moments of brilliance.

Trump was typical Trump. Fully displayed the strongman bravado his supporters love. Fell down a few rabbit holes trying to preserve his ego.

Neither candidate put forward any meaningful vision or concrete policy initiatives.

Amazing to see how hard the cable news networks were in full spin mode post debate. News and/or journalism are clearly dead. May the rise again in 2028.

Turnout like that to see in La Crosse could be a good sign for who needs an energized right to aid his re-election bid in the western Wisconsin 3rd Congressional District.

The 3rd has been slowly trending to the right, mirroring the nationwide wide trend of rural voters turning Republican.

Van Orden won the open seat in 2022 after Democratic Congressman Ron Kind stepped down after a quarter century representing the district.

Van Orden will need strong turnout to protect his seat in the “toss up” district that Democrats badly want to take back.

In 2022 Democrats pulled funding from the district to focus funds on other races across the country.

Van Orden will face Democrat in November.

Is a lame duck?

An outgoing politician is generally considered to lose influence when their days in office are numbered.

Anyone who is paying attentions knows exactly when Joe Biden’s Presidency officially ends, but as far as wielding influence on the current political process, is the Biden Presidency already over?

We pose the question as Biden looks to make some impactful changes on his way out the door, such as imposing term limits and new ethics rules upon the Supreme Court.

While the mainstream media should already be debating this question, and Congressional Republicans should be repeating “lame duck Presidency” like their political futures depend on it, there have been a few distractions gobbling up the national attention span.

Why is Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers being overlooked in the convo?

The Gov. Evers Resume:

Loyal Democrat. Second term Governor. Overall popular in his state. Could help deliver Wisconsin, a crucial swing state currently leaning Trump. Public servant career dedicated to education. Been fighting Republican hardliners tooth and nail. Defeated incumbent Governor Scott Walker. Midwest Geographic and Demographic advantages. Strong on abortion, women’s issues. Not controversial.

And he likes ice cream.

Negatives: Low key. Little bit of a slow burn in a fast turn candidacy. No established national Democratic fanbase. Can only help deliver 10 Electoral College votes. Unlikely to pursue a “3rd term” a la Biden and George H. W. Bush. Would put the Wisconsin Governorship at risk.

While Gov. Evers is an extreme long shot for VP, he would seem to be shoe-in as a cabinet secretary, especially for the Department of Education.

Intense pressure from for Biden to drop out mounted after Biden’s underwhelming performance in the first 2024 Presidential Debate.

Biden is endorsing his .

Strategically, it seems essential for to choose VP Harris for campaign finance fluidity. Harris can access all funds under the Biden-Harris candidacy. A different candidate would NOT have access to those funds.

Democrats hope that a new name at the top of the ticket will rejuvenate support in opposition to who seemed poised to run away with the race.

That said, this swap at the top of the ticket could lead to immense squabbling and a potential power struggle during the 2024 Democratic Convention or leading up to it over the next month.
