Save this if you plan to visit Horseshoe Bend ⬇️📍Glen Canyon Dam Overlook in Page Arizona The best view can be found behind the Carl Hayden Visitor Center 👁️👁️This is the Dam that’s responsible for the formation of Lake Powell and its one of the tallest in United States 😍Also be sure to take the walk on the Highway 89 Bridge as it offers up a super cool view of both the Dam and the Colorado River 🫶🏼Horseshoe Bend can be found about 10 minutes further down Highway 89 (south) #pagearizona #explorepage #arizonatravel #arizona #placestogo #ColoradoRiver #glencanyon #GlenCanyonDam #couplestravel
Looking to see those Larches in Washington this Fall? We got you 👇🏼Here are the top 5 best Larch hikes…🥾 Maple Pass - This is a 6.5 mile loop trail with about 2,200ft of elevation gain 🔁 Dogs are allowed on a leash 🐶 Location… Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest just outside of North Cascades National Park 📍This is a pretty popular trail so you will definitely come across a lot of other hikers but it’s TOTALLY worth it 😍🥾 Blue Lake - This is a 4.5 mile out and back trail with 1,000ft of elevation ↗️Dogs are allowed on a leash 🐶Location - Just down the street from the Maple Pass hike📍Your chances of seeing Mountain Goats are VERY high on this trail 🐐 🥾 Wing Lake -This trail is about 10 miles out and back with about 3,000ft of elevation gain. Most people like to do this one as an overnight backpacking trip and set up camp at Wing Lake 🏕️Location - This one actually takes off from the same trailhead as Maple Pass and follows the same trail in the beginning📍This hike is quite intense as much of the trail is not maintained. It does require climbing over a boulder field which can become pretty difficult in the wrong conditions. Because of this you will not be very likely to encounter many others on the trail 😓🥾 Cutthroat Lake via PCT -This trial is a total of 18 miles out and back with 4,000ft of elevation gain ↗️Location - You will see the trailhead for this one right across the street from the Maple Pass hike📍You can hike to Cutthroat Pass or even all the way to Cutthroat Lake but we only went a few miles in to see the Larches🍁🥾 Colchuck Lake -This one is a total of 9 miles out and back with about 2,500ft of elevation gain ↗️Location - This trail can be found just outside the super cute little mountain town of Leavenworth Washington 📍The road to get here can be pretty rough and the hike itself can be quite difficult but the lake and the Larches at the end make it so worth it 🫶🏼Larch sea
📍 Page Arizona As far as we can tell… this spot doesn’t have an official name but it’s only steps away from our campsite at Roam America Horseshoe Bend 🏕️ After watching these rock formations light up for sunset the past few days we decided to get a more up close and personal look 😍This spot is right outside of the RV Park boundaries and super accessible from Highway 98 🚐Just remember to leave no trace and keep these places just as beautiful you found them 🚮 Thank you for the warm welcome Arizona! We are super excited to explore this amazing state and get completely lost in its beauty 🏜️ #arizonatravel #arizonalandscapes #wanderlustcouple #washingtontravel #couplestravel #pagearizona #explorepage #vanlife #roadtrip #usaroadtrip #southwestroadtrip #hellofrom #arizonahiking
📍The Rowena Crest Viewpoint is a part of the Tom McCall Preserve There’s absolutely no hiking required to get to this super cool view. Not only can you get the shot with the horseshoe shaped road but this viewpoint offers amazing views of the Columbia River as well 🫶🏼This spot is right along the Historic Columbia River Highway (which is a total bucket list drive) and only about an hour from Portland Oregon 😍Sunrises and sunsets are both great here as the Columbia River Gorge opens up the area leaving you with a cliffside view in all directions 🌅If you have the time… check out some of the hiking in the Tom McCall Preserve! The trailheads are right at this viewpoint 🥾#columbiarivergorge #viewpoints #travel #roadtrip #pnw #vanlife #roadtripusa #usaroadtrip #wanderlustcouple #washingtontravel #couplestravel
These are the 5 best waterfalls that are less than a 1 hour drive from downtown 😍1) Bridal Veil Falls 📍 is 4.2 miles out and back with just over 1,000ft of elevation gain. It’s located just outside the town of Index. Be sure to take both detours to see the lower and the upper falls 🫶🏼2) Wallace Falls 📍is a 5 mile out and back trail with about 1,500ft in elevation gain. If you want to make the hike shorter you can always stop at the middle falls to avoid the majority of the uphill. That’s where the best view is anyways 🫶🏼3) Twin Falls 📍is a 2.5 mile out and back trail with only 600ft of elevation gain. This one is located right off of I-90 just past the town of North Bend 🫶🏼4) Snoqualmie Falls 📍is a 1.5 mile out and back trail with about 350ft of elevation gain if you decide to hike down to the bottom. The main viewpoint for this one is actually just a very short walk from the parking lot up top. This is the closest to Seattle of the falls on our list 🫶🏼5) Franklin Falls 📍is a 2 mile out and back trail with about 350ft of elevation gain. This one is located right off of I-90 just before you reach Snoqualmie Pass. It’s awesome any time of the year but in the winter it makes for an incredible snow hike 🫶🏼 Be sure to leave no trace when visiting 🌎🥾♻️
Mt. Storm King 🏔️⛈️👑 📍Olympic National Park It’s incredibly difficult to choose a “best hike” in the Olympic National Park because of its diversity. There’s Pacific Coastline, there’s Rain Forest, and there’s Mountains 🙌🏼But when it comes to summit views… this is definitely our favorite hike 🥾😍It’s a 4 mile out and back trail with a little over 2,000ft of elevation gain. It’s definitely a good workout. It’s accessible pretty much year round and starts out a the Storm King Ranger Station. The beginning of the trail is shared with the Marymere Falls trail (a much easier but definitely worth doing hike).Once you reach the end of the maintained trail sign the fun really begins… There’s a series of ropes (definitely use them because there’s lots of loose rock and a steep incline) and then a ridge line scramble. Scary… but worth it would probably be the overall best way to sum it up.Once you make it to the summit the views of Lake Crescent are unreal 🫶🏼Make sure you save this one for your next visit to the Olympic National Park ⬇️ #OlympicNationalPark #olympicpeninsula #mountstormking #besthikes #washingtonstate #pnw #travelwashington #scenicviews #NationalParkHikes #usaroadtrip #roadtrip #placestogo #bucketlisttravel

There’s spots for bigger RVs, Vans, and even Car Camping or Tents 🚐🏕️ The star of this show is Tongue Point 👅If the weather is nice it’s a PERFECT place to watch both a sunrise and a sunset 🌅 Coastline trails, Strait of Juan de Fuca views, awesome tidepooling, and Crescent Beach is right next door 🫶🏼Save this for your next Olympic Peninsula road trip ➡️ #saltcreek #olympicpeninsula#washingtoncoast #placestogo #pnw #travelwashington #bucketlisttravel #roadtrip #vanlife #hiddengems

Things you might see while driving through Olympic National Park…We definitely went in with seeing some Roosevelt Elk on our Bucket-List 🦌But we never could have imagined that we’d end up with a show quite like this 😍The Roosevelt Elk are also known as Olympic Elk. They are the largest of the four North American Elk species. They are found in the Pacific Northwest and they are named after President Theodore Roosevelt 🫶🏼Is the Olympic National Park on your list yet? #rooseveltelk #olympicnationalpark #wildlife #nationalparks #pnw #washingtonstate #washingtontravel #wanderlust #vanlife #roadtrip #roadtrippin

Today we are going to talk a bit about how to get phone service and Internet connection while you’re down in Baja 📲🛜The major U.S. phone carriers seem to change their international allowances all the time…The best thing to do is check with your provider before heading down and see what your plan will offer while you’re in Mexico. Personally we have Verizon and the last time we were in Baja we were allowed 2GB of high speed data per day. This was up from the .5GB that we were given per day the time before. After we used up those 2GB it got quite expensive to purchase more through Verizon 💰It seemed like we were constantly chasing WiFi. A lot of places like cafes and restaurants do offer WiFi and this will likely be an option that you will end up using a lot!But what about when you’re out and about? There’s the option of purchasing a Telcel SIM card or eSIM. This is the local provider that everyone uses and the prepaid SIM cards are super commonYou can either go into a location and reload your plan in person or you can do it using the Telcel appAll of these options are ok if you’re somewhere with service…The odds are however very high that you will want to spend time on some more remote beaches where there’s just no reception at all 🏝️🚫For this… StarLink was an incredible solution for us 📡Having it the 2nd time we went down made our Baja experience a million times better 🙌🏼 #wifi #starlink #internet #service #baja #bajacaliforniamexico #mexico #crossingtheborder #LivingAbroad #vanlife #campervan #rvlife #buslife #skoolie #travelhack #tinyhome #livingontheroad
