Quintus Curtius is the author of the books "Thirty-Seven," "Pantheon," "Stoic Paradoxes," and "Pathways," and "On Duties." Fortress of the Mind is his website and publishing platform, along with Fortress of the Mind Productions. Quintus is a former active duty officer in the U.S. Marine Corps with deployed service worldwide. He was on active duty for over four years, and a reservist for four more.

He eventually resigned from the reserves in 2000 at the rank of major. After leaving active duty in the USMC, he attended law school, became an attorney, and founded a law firm with another attorney in 2000. Since then he has been practicing as a trial attorney in federal and state courts. He has lived in several countries, speaks several languages, and continues to travel frequently.
