This is why your dreams will never come true.
The other day I took my son to Karate and I was talking to an older lady in her 60s about all of the projects I’m working on and how it was my dream to learn to fly airplanes, write, produce, and star in a TV series, write a book and learn to play the Cello, all of which I’m doing this year, by the way.
When I finished talking, she turned to me and said, “You’re lucky. I never got to do any of my dreams.”
Wow, when she said that, I had a come-to-Jesus moment.
You see, we all have dreams, but we keep putting them off because we don’t have the time to pursue them.
We keep saying “someday” I’ll do this or that and then find ourselves in old age realizing that “someday” never came.
Look, I’m busier now than ever before. I was up until 4 am last night studying for my private pilot exam. I’m in the middle of building a new company. I’m meeting with executive producers shopping around a pilot for a new TV show I created.
It’s not a great time to be doing any of the things I’m doing, but here’s the thing, there will never be a good time to start, if you don’t start now, that “someday” you’ve been putting off may never come.
Your dreams will remain dreams until you make the effort to turn them into a reality.
Don’t wait another day to start following your dreams. Start today.
