Seattle Meets Bizarre Trax! 🚀

This August, we’re launching a new series focused on spotlighting labels and building bridges between Seattle and international community-based labels. 🌍✨

On Friday, August 9th, Restless Planet is introducing Seattle to Bizarre Trax, a UK and Berlin based label, and their standout trio Felon5.

Bizarre Trax has been making a name in underground scenes across Europe for the past five years with their infectious, funk-infused sound. Felon5—composed of Charleze, Jhobei, and oliver.r—brings a dynamic chemistry built on decades of friendship and musical synergy. They’ve lit up stages at iconic venues like Fabric, and major festivals including Glastonbury and Albania’s ION Festival. Expect a blend of house, electro-funk, and deeper vibes that will captivate both seasoned club-goers and new audiences​.

Adam Collins, a trailblazer in the dance music scene and one-half of Omni A.M., has long been an innovative producer known for his subtle blend of futuristic and organic sounds that resonate through dark rooms across the globe. Harrison BDP’s remix brings a rhythm-forward interpretation to Adam’s original track, leveraging his mastery of deep grooves and percussive flair.

We're excited to announce a little something extra from our first vinyl release at Restless Planet. The Harrison BDP remix of an Adam Collins tune, previously an exclusive bonus for our vinyl enthusiasts, will soon be available for digital download on our Bandcamp!

This track, a prelude to an upcoming release from Adam Collins on Soft Spoken Secret, perfectly marries Adam’s eclectic soundscapes with Harrison BDP’s dynamic beats. It’s a snapshot of the collaborative spirit thriving in our local underground scene.

It’s fair to say Harrison BDP is one of those rare producers that has already amassed quite the reputable back catalog in a very short space of time. Harrison BDP’s recent works in 2024, including his remixes for Luuk van Dijk on Dansu Discs and Hessa on Cosmos, and his release on Shall Not Fade, have only strengthened our admiration for his talent.

He’s become a go-to producer for many DJs and has been refining his sound for over 10 years. We’re continually inspired by his earlier releases like “Decompression,” known for its deep, immersive soundscapes, and “Easy Tiger,” an EP that captures his knack for minimal deep tech with smooth, rhythmic beats.

This remix is filled with tons of percussion and rhythm, pulling the listener in. The track offers undeniable grooves and is sure to be a favorite at daytime and after-hour shows alike, resonating with a vibrant energy that gets everyone moving. It showcases why Harrison BDP has become such a versatile producer, offering a new perspective on the strength of an Adam Collins stomper.

The Pacific Northwest is without a doubt home to some very exceptional folk - who through their music have influenced not just us, but have been at the forefront of shaping our underground music scene as a whole for years. Tomorrow night we are joined together with two of them from Hunt & Gatherr - Michael Manahan & Doza who time and time again prove themselves to be groove masters behind the decks who make no exceptions when it comes to high quality sound and experience. It’s going to be an audible treat and we are very excited to be able to share in this experience in such an intimate setting at No Bad Days Gallery. They’ll be on 11-2 AM in the main room. This week marks the launch of RP005, and we’re thrilled to feature Seattle's own Intensive Purposes and their standout track "Effluxion." This piece highlights the duo's signature live production, weaving together technical skill and a mystical vibe to complete our Euphonics compilation.

Tondiue and Maxwell Washburn, the minds behind Intensive Purposes, have made their mark in the Seattle music scene with the Apt E label and collaborations with GroundHum and SecondNature, pushing the boundaries of sound.

Today, we're proud to welcome Christine Benz to the label for her Restless Planet debut “GB3”, part of our Euphonics VA out March 29th!

Since 1999, Christine Benz has been spinning and captivating hearts with her eclectic sounds. From deep dubby rhythms to edgy grooves, her sound palette spans minimal, micro, experimental, downtempo, ambient, lounge, and even Boombap.

Benz’s journey began at 14, driving her passion to the limits with the 138 Bpm Detroit Sound. In addition to being a phenomenal DJ and producer, she’s a successful Art Director and UX Designer.

Christine has rocked stages in Switzerland (notably at Rohstofflager Club as Piratenkind) and shared warm-up sets with legends like Ben Klock, Jeff Mills, and Carl Cox. Her versatility shines through every performance, leaving an unforgettable mark. She also finds time in between to run her own label Pirate Records, dedicated to producing timeless and minimalist sound designs that fill the room optimally.

16 years into producing, her releases on Pirat Records, Irenic, Archipel, Konstrukt, OHM, and now Restless Planet showcase her limitless creativity.
