It’s time to gather around the table, break bread, and hang on to our sanity for dear life as we embark on the journey that is Sono Sion’s 2005 film Noriko’s Dinner Table! A meditation on loss, family, and just how a society does (or doesn’t!) recover from a massive wave of su***des and a possible supernatural mental illness. A pseudo-sequel of sorts, to his earlier film Su***de Club, which we covered in episode 3(!) this one gets the crew a little divisive. Enjoy!

Thank you all so much for listening and engaging with the 3 of us, we hope to continue bringing you fun and interesting movies/guests to fill your head with all sorts of morbid conversation! I couldn’t imagine doing this with anyone else, I truly have the best cohosts anyone could possibly ever dream of doing a show with. They’re amazing people as well as performers and I’m lucky to have them beside me. I’m so damn proud of what we’re building, and this is just the very beginning. 😭💚

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’re giving you a different holiday serving than originally intended (you’re just gonna have to wait patiently for the fabled Visitor Q discussion). But!
