Episode 31 is available wherever you get your podcasts! It’s time to gather around the table, break bread, and hang on to our sanity for dear life as we embark on the journey that is Sono Sion’s 2005 film Noriko’s Dinner Table! A meditation on loss, family, and just how a society does (or doesn’t!) recover from a massive wave of su***des and a possible supernatural mental illness. A pseudo-sequel of sorts, to his earlier film Su***de Club, which we covered in episode 3(!) this one gets the crew a little divisive. Enjoy!
TW: su***de, ideation, gore, and familial trauma
