HOW DID WE END UP IN THIS SITUATION?
Hebrews 10:19-20 (KJV)
19 Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,
20 By a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh;
"BY A NEW AND LIVING WAY"
THE CHURCH IS CONSECRATED FOR GOD
To be consecrated is to be set apart for the master's use.
We don't change the Word of God to cater to our needs and entertainment but we let the pure and holy Word of God to change us
How did we end up in such a way that a church praise and worship, and secular concert are too identical?
Why are we using "bait" to lure unbelievers instead of using pure and unspotted Good News of the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ?
The church is becoming so worldly that the worldly people don't even see the difference when going to church services
"It's okay to curse (f**k, s**t, stupid, bitch) because it's just an expression"
"It's okay to get tattoos because it expresses one self."
"It's okay to wear very short pants, or ripped jeans when attending to church cuz it's fashion."
Another thing,
Ok, post memes, jokes and others, that's fine
But when was green jokes normal?
And when was posting lewd content okay?
Sure you want to have fun and enjoy life
Well guess what, you can do it without corrupt communication
the unbelievers and worldly people will do it, it's their life and identify, but when you're a believer of Christ and you post such contents, no wonder no one believes your testimony.
Titus 1:16 (KJV) They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate.
We claim to know God but why does our actions say otherwise?
What God longs for a true and genuine worship.
John 4:24 (KJV) God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Maybe you're thinking, "I'm just Human"
While this is true but in all actuality, even the devil himself will use this as a reason.
"You're only human, you are not perfect"
And we abused this fact and continued sinning.
True, God's grace is greater than our sin, Romans 5:
But that doesn't mean we should abuse it, Romans 6:
We became too preoccupied with our own agenda that we forgot to pray diligently.
Do you still even pray and fast?
Do you still have time to actually sit and enjoy your devotion and journal?
Or do you do just because you "have to"
Are you still eager to shall the Gospel of Jesus Christ?
Let me tell you this
Resist the devil and he shall flee from you
Fill you heart and mind with memory bible verse, because out of the abundance of your heart, that will proceed out of your mouth. That means it will become your words.
I am not sharing this because "I am holier than thou", this is a rebuke to everyone of us because we are all guilty.
JESUS IS COMING BACK,
HIS HEART IS FOR EVERYONE TO BE SAVED.
REPENT, WATCH AND PRAY NOT JUST FOR YOUR SELF, BUT ALSO FOR YOUR FAMILY AND THOSE WHO ARE CLOSE TO YOU
INCLUDE THOSE WHO ARE NOT BESIDE YOU
FORGIVE AND HELP THE POOR.
