Wow what a year it's been.

At the start of this year I was making waves like I never thought I would around the Puget sound. I was working mainly as a live sound freelancer for a multitude of different production companies, working audio for plenty of great acts. But that took a turn on March 13th.

I was working a show in Vancouver, WA for Boyz II Men when suddenly the tour manager said, "everyone stop working, the show's cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic." Within hours, my entire year of gigs was cancelled.

Luckily for me, I had some sessions lined up with a few artists from around the area to keep me afloat until the PUA kicked in. After these projects I knew it was Go Time.

I've been spending most of the spring, the entire summer, and all of the autumn months perfecting my craft, sound, and business; gear swapping, course taking, networking, mixing as much as possible, building my brand/website, and learning more about the business world so that I can transition from being in live sound to working as a freelance recording engineer.

This Thanksgiving I'm very thankful for the time off that I've been able to have this year to grant me an opportunity to really pursue creating and bringing music to life as a career. With all the craziness that's happened this year I wouldn't have been able to do a lot of this without the support and encouragement that my friends and family have given me throughout this process.

Next week I will be putting out content that will show my mixing process from the beginning sounds to the final product. I'll be doing that weekly, with many videos for one song that was polled on my personal account.
