Ok y'all...we finally have found an editing partner to make Season II come to the airwaves soon!

BUT FIRST we need to know...who would make a great guest on our Wellness podcast? Season II will focus on expanding on wellness within to create wellness in family (bio and chosen) and community (physical or emotional).

I believe I've settled on the new podcast hosting platform which will include VIDEO podcasting (vlogcasting?) as an added bonus. Best part--it'll cut my costs by 80% but also I'll be doing my own editing. Which basically means, there will be no editing. But raw, unfiltered and unedited. Real talk here, y'all!

Good morning, y'all! Thought I'd kick off the final week of the year with a to-do list that I keep having to remind myself to work on. Note that I just typed "to work on" because this to-do list is a constant work in progress, not perfection. There may be days, weeks, months, years even that I am able to complete the check list, and yet there may be minutes, hours, days that I have to remind myself to keep working on it. It's all good, progress not perfection.

I have enjoyed taking a break from the recording studio and doing some strategic planning for the future of our lil podcast. And I am SUPER excited to have the next two seasons outlined and beginning to book guests!

The first season we focused on "wellness within the self" and exploring each guest's individual wellness journey. Next up we will expand that and focus on "wellness within the family". The definition of "family" will be up to each guest, and part of what we explore!

These are difficult times, and we've all heard, ad nauseam, stories of why. I have found when times get like this, sometimes I hold my breath. At best, there are times when I simply do not breathe deeply nor intentionally. During these times, I find it helpful to return to a breath-based meditation.

Circular breathing is my go to. And it is super simple.
Breathe in through your nose for four counts
Hold for four counts
Breathe out through your mouth for four counts
Hold for four counts
Repeat as long as you'd like.

Sometimes I will increase it to six counts. My goal is to try to fill my belly on the inhale and release it all on the exhale. The act of counting the breath receptively helps me to clear my mind, breathing with intention brings my awareness to my body and what it needs and even allows me to tap into where I am holding the shi* of life in my body.

I invite you to try it, and let me know how it goes for you!
