Tanvir Rose, Born in Bathinda, India, Tanvir and her family moved to Canada in 2002 in search of a better life. She grew up in a traditional and strict Punjabi household, where academics trumped any artistic dreams. From starting off self-taught by watching Ciara’s music videos to sneaking away from her part-time job to take dance classes, Tanvir knew she was destined to perform on big stages, in front of bright lights and thousands of people. This past year, she did just that and isn’t slowing down.
She has now Choreographed and Performed with AP Dhillon, Diljit Dosanjh, Tesher, AR Rahman, Ezu, and Karan Aujla.

The Different Portrayals of Mental Health and Mental Illness in Popular Media
In this episode of Mental Wellness Wednesday with Gurjeet, Gurjeet looks at the portrayals of mental health in mainstream and popular media, also the different conceptions of mental health and mental illness, and why one isn’t necessarily mutually exclusive with the other.
Gurjeet then talks about the importance of stigma in mental health and why it is so significant, the different ways mental health is portrayed in media such as Batman and Bojack Horseman, the negative portrayals of therapy within media and how it affects the general populous, and how traditional news media portrays mental illness in a negative light.
Gurjeet then discusses the latest season of “Never Have I Ever,” and how it positively portrayed therapy, and other positive depictions of mental health in media that she has come across.

India's most notable filmmaker, Karan Johar, was honoured yesterday, 20th June, at the British Parliament for his invaluable contribution to the global entertainment industry. Johar is celebrating his 25th anniversary in Indian cinema this year.
The private event was hosted by Baroness Verma of Leicester with additional members of Parliament in attendance including Lord Desai, Baroness Uddin and Rt Hon Tanmanjeet Singh Desi MP as well as British Asian trailblazers, influencers and community leaders.
Johar has a special relationship with the United Kingdom having filmed many of his productions such as Kuch Kuch Hota Hai, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil across the country. In 2012, he was appointed as a Goodwill Ambassador for Visit Britain for a special campaign to attract and invite people to visit and explore the country.
