OMG HI 🤍 Some of you are new here (very cool!) so I thought I’d share a bit about me and this little page 🥰

🏡 I’m a Toronto native who briefly lived in Switzerland and the US before calling London home in 2015. I absolutely LOVE this city - I believe it’s where I’m destined to be. I live with my boyfriend in East London - an area you’ll hear me rave about because it has the best restaurants and vibes (objectively speaking, of course 😉).

🧳 I create for those who love to travel when they can, and who want to make the most of their time when they’re away. It’s why my goal here is to inspire those people to do this (hopefully that’s you!) so I share tips and recommendations, trip planning motivation, and travel stories with lessons learned from London, Europe & beyond.

🍃 When I’m not travelling, chances are I’m in my kitchen cooking up a storm (or rather, trying to 😂), curled up on my couch watching Netflix, reading a book, with my friends, out on a walk, or at a wine bar.

🙋🏻‍♀️ Other things about me: I am obsessed with Friends, never have chill when I see an adorable dog, can usually be found in an oversized sweater, love an underbaked cookie, have a passion for making Excel tables, still have my teddy bears from my OG days who I love dearly, am quite introverted (but some friends will say otherwise), speak a bit of French, make a mean pisco sour, can be moderately sarcastic, live for Christmas, thoroughly enjoy snowboarding, and take great pleasure in checking items off my (overly elaborate and colour-coded) to do list.

And a bit about my handle:

🌎 Away - where I often love to be
📸 With - because you’re all invited along
🇬🇧 Albs - my nickname on this side of the pond

THANK YOU for being here! 🙏

Now over to you - what brought you here and what’s your next trip or dream destination (or both!)?😍👇🏼

I finally understand why so many people move to Sydney and never leave. It is a DREAM 🤍

London is still my number one, but this coastal Australian paradise taunted me big time - especially Bondi!

I could write and write about this place but photos will probs do it more justice. Some of my favourites ☝🏼 and some highlights/recommendations for y’alls👇🏼

🌊 Sunrise swim at
🌊 Hermitage Foreshore Walk
🌊 Fish n’ chips & Aperols in Watson’s Bay
🌊 Seeing Sydney Opera House
🌊 Amazing meals at
🌊 Drinks at ’s Pool Club
🌊 Coastal walk from Bondi to Coogee

If Sydney/Bondi isn’t on your travel list, add it. If it’s not near the top, move it up. And if it’s at the top, do what you can to get yourself there asap ♥️

Oh also - I worked while I was there so didn’t see or do as much compared to Western Australia, so I’m totally alllll ears for more recommendations. If you’ve got any, drop them in a comment👇🏼🙏

It finally happened - I made it to Paris 🤍 The weekend trip I’ve been waiting 3 years to take. I may only be grinning in this photo but I couldn’t have been happier ♥️

More London favourites coming at ya! Keeping it east with spots in Shoreditch, Dalston & Islington👇🏼

🍽 MANTECA (): this place is AMAZING. Some of the best Italian food I’ve had in London. So good, in fact, that I went twice in one month ♥️ And everyone I went with also loved it. Just WOW! Highlights: fazzoletti pasta, duck liver parfait, house-made ricotta and the new season asparagus

🍽 BRUNSWICK EAST: (): this is a brilliant tucked away spot for brunch in east London. The sun was in full force when we went on a Sunday morning and it was GLORIOUS! ☀️ Their iced coffee and fresh cleanse juice hit the spot – and the green eggs and ham was 👍🏼 Good luck resisting their baked goods!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🍽 LINA STORIES (): another fab new Italian find 🇮🇹 The restaurant aesthetic is great – minty green and white with a retro diner and delicatessen feel – and the food is so good. The Amalfi lemon and pink peppercorn spaghetti and black truffle, butter and egg yolk tagliatelle definitely stole the show. I went to the King’s Cross location – but there are others in Soho, the City and Marylebone (which just opened!)

Which one sounds the best to you? 🤍

Save this if you want to go (or go back!) to the Lake District one day 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿👇🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Something I’ve learned since moving to London: Brits love their walks 🥾
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I was talking to a friend about this the other day. It’s hard to think of a time spent out of the city that hasn’t involved at least one walk. There are so many trails and footpaths carved out or signed all over the country – it’s brilliant 🤍
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And the Lake District has sooooo many options! Picking which ones to do was so tough – but these are what we landed on (circular options only since we had a car 🚗):
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 Orrest Head Circular Walk
🌿 Scafell Pike from Wasdale Campsite
🌿 Rydal Water and Rydal Mount Circular
🌿 Skelgill Banks and Cat Bell’s Circular (📸☝🏼: view from the top)
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Others that also looked good but we didn’t have time to do:
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
🌿 Helvellyn, Swirrel Edge and Striding Edge
🌿 Fleetwith Pike
🌿 Buttermere Circular
🌿 Brand Fell Circular
🌿 Ambleside, Stock Ghyll Force Waterfall, Wansfell and Stag Shaw Gardens Circular
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
All routes can be found on 🤳
