Posted • At least five musical acts have pulled out of the upcoming South by Southwest festival in Austin, Texas over its ties to the U.S. military and defense contractors, including RTX Corporation, formerly known as Raytheon, which supplies weapons to Israel.

„Genocide profiteers like Raytheon supply weapons to the IDF, paid for by our taxes. A music festival should not include war profiteers. I refuse to be complicit in this and withdraw my art and labor in protest,“ wrote Ella O’Connor Williams, who performs under the name Squirrel Flower, in an Instagram post.

She had the voice of an angel, and she was outspoken on child abuse, human rights, anti-racism, organized religion, and women's rights… even to the detriment of her own career.
