Goodbyes to two long-term employees happening today.

After 25 years of serving the town, the Town of Bar Harbor will be saying goodbye to Code Enforcement Officer Angela Chamberlain today in the code enforcement office from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. The public is invited to stop in and say hello. Angie's last day is January 1, 2025.

In Mount Desert, there will be a goodbye gathering for 17-plus year employee Jennifer Buchanan. Between 3:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., the public can stop in and visit in the meeting room at the Mount Desert town office.

Magic? Check. Joy? Double check. It was a Witham Family Charitable Christmas celebration in Bar Harbor this Saturday.

Santa and Mrs. Claus arrived on Maine Seacoast Mission's Sunbeam at the Northeast Harbor Marina this afternoon to a crowd of fans. Our favorite part of this video is the little voice announcing to everyone that it is Santa. Tomorrow, we'll have more photos and a story about the events throughout the island.

Santa arrived in Bar Harbor tonight for a visit. He'll be hanging out at the MDI YMCA until 7 p.m. And there will be sales and shopping open downtown until 10 p.m. as part of the Village Holidays Celebration and Sale. A ton of holiday happenings are going on tomorrow, too. We've posted the link to the round-up article in the comments.

It was a pretty wonderful weekend for fundraising, crafts, food, and schools on Mount Desert Island

The state champions! Girls XC heading into Bar Harbor!

The bells are coming down for repairs at St. Sauvior's Church in Bar Harbor. The bells haven't been working for a few years. We'll have a story about this in a bit.
