Learn from Fayette County Kentucky Schools Resource officer, Kendra Wilson how to reach our youth today, and make a difference in their lives BEFORE a problem begins.

Kendra will share with us the valuable lessons her career in law enforcement have taught her and how she used those lessons to be fully present as a school resource officer, and truly and positively influence the kids in her community.

Who is Officer Kendra Wilson?
Today she serves as a School Resource Officer at Fayette Public Schools Police. She started in Law Enforcement as a Fishing Wildlife Boating Officer in the late 90s. She was the first and only female employed as Deputy Sheriff at Pulaski County when she discovered she was an adrenaline j***y :) and discovered her passion for solving crimes. She worked closely with Sam Catron, deputy sheriff with her, who lost his life in 2002. Sheriff Catron was running for a fifth term as sheriff. His former deputy, Jeff Morris, who was campaigning against him, and Kenneth White, a well-known drug dealer, conspired to commit the murder. Kendra then moved a role as State Police officer focused on internet crimes, then for Governor Beshear security and also public affairs. She has mentally dealt with some of her life's most difficult challenges in her role of serving to protect the public.

She brings all of those skills to her role as a School Resource Officer. She is a beacon of light to so many junior high school students. We have so much to learn from her as parents, teachers and students about the importance of love and trust and true human leadership.

We are excited to have her share inspiring messages of hope and healing in a world that is hurting.

Our guest Luanne Cameron and founder and author of favorite is Diamond.

Diamonds for Luanne bring back wonderful waves of fond memories of her grandmother! It was her grandmother's desire for Luanne to own her collection. She would rattle her big cocktail diamond ring and say to her “Oh Luanne someday these will be yours!”

From a young child Luanne marveled over the day that she would own her generational collection of diamonds. At the time she had no understanding of the financial value. It was her emotional connection to what they represented. It was that spark in her eye that made me desire the same and created this desire of diamonds in her life.

Luanne has always thought diamonds to have a unique beauty. She loves the expression “diamonds in the rough!” She says, “We are all diamonds. We all have a uniqueness. Some diamonds, some people, are rougher than others and I do believe the challenging seas of life soften the diamonds' edges' and bring out a true deep inner beauty and there lies the beautiful life metaphor. Life crisis viewed as challenges when seen as opportunities are truly what will bring our true beauty. In my career, I have used diamonds as a fun personal goal. If I do x or achieve x, I'm purchasing those diamond earrings! And diamonds remind me of my own inner confidence. When I look at my diamond ring when I am challenged at work, I remember how far I’ve come and where I am going.”

Dea is in the top .5 of Etsy jewelry sales not by chance! Wow! These pieces amongst many others are so beautiful.

Because our awesome artist has beautiful jewelry designs, we decided to change it up in this post and share with you our favorite picks...although that was a tough choice! We loved the stories shared on how she has been able to help her customers keep memories close to their hearts with her line of memoir jewelry. She is the best at taking the keepsake images of loved ones (even their signatures) and creating pieces of art on a necklace or bracelet.

And that bracelet is amazing too!

She is a truly talented designer with an eye for detail! Wow!!!!
