Before you judge, let me clear something up. My pregnancy wasn't a scheme to climb the career ladder or trap a man who didn't want me. Allen, my boss, and I fell in love from the moment we met. It was more than just smiles and glances; our relationship was real and romantic.
When I found out I was pregnant, I was over the moon and couldn't wait to tell Allen.
But his reaction was a punch to the gut. He said my pregnancy was "inappropriate" and should be terminated. Then he dropped the bomb: "I love you, Maria, but we can't do this anymore. We can't be together because I'm married."

I BRING A PIE TO MY SON’S GRAVE EVERY YEAR — IT HAS ALWAYS REMAINED UNTOUCHED, BUT THIS TIME, THE PLATE WAS EMPTY WITH A NOTE ON IT
For 23 years, I've kept the same tradition. Every year on this date, I bake my son Henry's favorite apple cinnamon pie and take it to his grave. It's a simple recipe, but it meant everything to him. It's how I remember him, how I keep him close.
Henry passed away in a tragic accident when he was just 17. Ever since then, this ritual has been my way of staying connected to him, even though the years have passed. The grief never really goes away—it just softens. And making that pie, saying my quiet goodbye each year, gives me a small sense of peace.

My neighbor is such a jerk! It all started when I went over to ask him nicely to keep his dog from digging up my flowers. But somehow, that simple convo turned into a total nightmare. We really wanted to get away from the city for a week – me, Steve, our kids, and Steve's mom. Steve's always bragging about how he knows the best spots, so I let him take the lead and handle all the travel stuff.

A new couple moved in next door with their 10-year-old kid. Everything seemed fine at first, but then the dad started acting really arrogant. Our yards used to be one big shared space with the previous owner, but I knew that wouldn't happen with the new neighbors.

I had just been discharged from the hospital after giving birth to my twin girls, Ella and Sophie. My husband, Derek, was supposed to pick us up, But at the last minute, he called.
"Mom's really unwell. I need to take her to the hospital. I can't pick you up,” he said, sounding rushed.
Disappointed but trying to stay calm, I called a taxi.
When I got home, I froze. My suitcases and bags were dumped on the doorstep. I approached the door, calling, "Derek?" but there was no answer.
