Help us make the biggest beanie you have ever seen to raise awareness for brain injury survivors and the invisible barriers they live with every day.

We have come a long way with incredible work being done by change makers around the globe but we still have a long way to go. How powerful our voices could be if we unite in a shared mission to create a big wave of awareness!

Needlework has long been associated with activism for a cause and there is no greater cause than one that is for people that are still fighting for equity in access to resources due to the invisible nature of brain injury.

We are attempting to make the world's biggest beanie to elevate our mission and amplify our voices.

By contributing one small 20 cm x 20 cm square, knitted or crocheted, we can connect people in a common cause to make a difference.

Our goal is 13,500 by August 25th for Brain Injury Awareness week so we need all the help we can get. At the completion of the campaign, the beanie will pulled apart and the squares donated to Wrap with Love, serving a dual purpose. Please help us if you can.... information on the flyer X

Belinda Adams OAM! 😳There’s one for the book! Surprised, delighted, humbled and still in disbelief to be awarded the Medal of the Order of Australia for service to community health. Nobody does community work to receive awards and they also never undertake projects alone. I am grateful for every single person who has helped turned my ideas into a collaborative reality, especially my family and friends who have given endlessly of their time for years. I should also add, the work has just begun! I’m super excited to be part of an amazing team from Griffith University and Metro South Health working on a project - Understanding what self-advocacy means after brain injury: Having a say in your care and rehabilitation, which is expected to result in a new clinical approach that will support individuals to have a greater say in their rehabilitation across the care continuum. And there is that book I've been working on.... Never give up💛

It's Carers Week and I am proud to be an Ambassador to help raise awareness for the countless Carers who provide support and care for someone they love. Did you know 2.65 million Australians provide 2.2 billion hours of unpaid care that would require $77.9 billion per annum, from the government’s health and community sector, to replace the work carried out by unpaid carers. Carers Week - A million reasons to care ♥️

Belinda's journey as a carer began 11 years ago when her son, Dylan, survived a car accident at the age of 19. His traumatic brain injury was a significant challenge, and his recovery was slow but steady. As a single parent, Belinda faced immense pressure, being forced to sell their family home

The person who asked starts speaking to me slower, like they’re talking to a child. Another person even has the audacity to say, “Do you do anything else?” or something along those lines.
