BREAKING: Prime Minister sets deadline for Russia to explain nerve agent attack

The Prime Minister says it is 'highly likely' that Russia is responsible for the nerve agent attack on Sergio Skripal and has given the Kremlin until Tuesday to respond. She added "We must all be very well aware of the various ways in which Russia is affecting activity across the continent and elsewhere. There can be no question of business as usual with Russia"

It has been confirmed that Novichok was the nerve agent used in the attack. This can be deployed as a gas or fine powder and takes 30 seconds - 2 minutes to come into effect. This suggests that the Russian State may have been responsible, or the rare chemical fell into someone else's hands.

Military remove contaminated ambulances in Salisbury

The military have removed two ambulances in Salisbury, believed to be contaminated with the Nerve Agent used in an assassination attempt on Russian spy Sergei Skripal and his daughter. The city has turned into a crime scene with several areas cordoned off and the Counter Terrorism branch from the Metropolitan Police taking over the investigation along with 180 military personnel. Sergei and Yulia Skripal are now in a critical condition in intensive care at Salisbury district hospital. Sergei is a 66 year old Russian spy who worked for the Russian Military and secret services. However, he was a double agent, recruited in 1995 by an MI6 agent in Spain.

Man dies in frozen Danson Park lake | Update News

A man in his 60s died after falling into the frozen lake in Danson Park, South-East London. Unconfirmed reports suggest he tried to save his dog when it fell through the ice. At around 3.55PM police were called by the London Ambulance Service to reports of a man in the water. Officers and London's Air Ambulance attended. He was pulled out of the water and taken to a south London hospital where he died. His next of kin have been informed and the death is being treated as unexplained.
