I made this page originally as a wellness page but lost interest because the internet is saturated with information and well I don't have a PHD in psychology (unfortunately even after all the self help books, I'm still crazy, learning and I'm not any more educated than someone else with a degree other than psychology).
I care immensely about mental health, wellness, yoga and spirituality ( I would almost go as far as to say i'm religious) but as I said; I don't have a PHD and quite frankly I don't like nor want to make inspiring reels that take 250minutes to complete about how green juice has changed my life and the beach looks filtered once you drink it... So instead I've opted to open conversations, talk about the never ending topic list that's within my brain and hopefully it'll fill some time up and give me some peace, I need a hobby and I think this is it guysssss ! woohoo

Awareness

Stress presents itself differently for everyone. There are multiple mental, emotional and physical symptoms. Some of which include:

Tiredness, teeth grinding, upset stomach, heightened emotionality, feeling easily triggered by life events, tightened muscles and tension in the shoulders and back, insomnia or sleeplessness, feelings of anger, dizziness, feeling withdrawn and isolated.

Acceptance

When we look at our stress as a natural occurrence and focus on it with a positive point of view, we can effectively work towards minimising life stressors and focusing on helping ourselves to overcome it.

Acknowledge

What are the factors in our lives that are causing stress?

Again, these will be different for everyone but some of the major causes of stress in people include:

Major life events, major changes to life course, relationship breakdowns, work-life management, stress of parenting, stress of grief or loss, feeling overwhelmed.

When we pinpoint the causal factors of our stress, we can then implement action to minimise them.

Action

Communicating how we feel to our support network, getting moving via excercise, talking to GP for stress management treatment and support and finding time for self care and time alone may help to alleviate the symptoms of stress within our daily lives.

The stress we feel will always teach us something, whether it’s areas of our lives that need work, or whether it is simply telling us that we need to take a break and schedule in some time for ourselves amongst our busy lives.

Journal prompts.
I’ve been writing in diaries since I can remember and for the most part up until around 2 or 3 years ago wrote things that bothered me or I simply recalled the day I had. I never challenged myself to why I was feeling and reacting to things in certain ways.

One of the first steps in healing is taking one long hard look at yourself and asking yourself some difficult questions; although some answers may trigger some uncomfortable feelings within you, your inner child will thank you for it and BAM the world is one step closer to a higher state of consciousness by challenging that ego.
