The music (and art in general) that speaks to us the most should reflect that!

1. Music should be more than just a good beat.
2. Music should convey more than just one emotion at a time.

ART & MONEY! - DO YOU KNOW WHAT ART COSTS?

Music/Art and Money! Do you know how to determine the cost of art? Its value? It’s worth? Do you know how to determine the correct price for your artistic services? How do you know if you’re being paid enough for your work? Are you comfortable negotiating your fee? Are you often underpaid?

it all starts with knowing the “interests” of the seller and the buyer, and understanding that in this case, the seller is an artist (musician, painter, photographer, dancer, novelist, etc.), and what’s being sold are great artworks. Look past both your ambivalence about money, and the notion that art is just about entertainment.

3 THINGS WAY MORE IMPORTANT THAN "TALENT"!

Talent is overrated! And the concept is often misused. We use lots of words for the talented: gifted, precocious, genius, prodigy, creative, etc. We call people "musically gifted" or "born gifted", or they have "creative genius" or they're "physically gifted".

But there are things way more important than "talent." I talk about three here. Vision, Organizational Skills, and Focus. For anyone wanting to create success, this can help.

Talent is overrated! And the concept is often misused. We use lots of words for the talented: gifted, genius, prodigy, creative, etc. We call people "musically gifted" or "born gifted". We say they have "creative genius" or they're "physically gifted". We are impressed by people who are great at piano playing or violin playing, mathematics or chess, or football or basketball at an early age.

But talent has downsides. Whether it tiger moms and sports dads, or inferiority complexes, this notion of talent can have a profound effect on us.
