High Street Times Zine HST was a zine produced by Victoria House Oct 2016 - Nov 2017 to provide a platform to encourage, en High Street Times is a monthly current events magazine.

It is available for free in limited supply at a few convenient locations in town. High Street Times features a calendar of recommended events, show posters for the coming month, event reviews, photos of people having fun ("Photo Dump"), a coloring page ("Color Block"), a horoscope of activities ("Bore-o-scopes"), interviews with local artists and musicians, cover art by our High Street Gallery exh

ibiting artist for the month, and much more. We rely on donations to keep the project going, so that we can reach more people outside of our usual immediate community and further expose the joy of local arts and original music to the unsuspecting public of Southeast Texas. Editors

The Local Scene

Great music as always from The Local Scene and a nice little mention along with Jerica Carrier.

On this episode of The Local Scene, lots of new music from some really great artists both local and traveling here soon.
Click to hear tracks from Houston artists Birthday Club, Houston rappers ILL FADED, and Guilla, Beaumont electronic artist Snorla###, locals Curse and the Cure. Several of the bands playing the Sounds of Summer Show in Houston at the end of July are Play.Stop.Rewind, Castaway Radio, The Ramblin' Boys, Steff Neff. Noise punk artists SUPER THIEF from Austin make an appearance as well as NOLA based rock/funk ensemble Mighty Brother. Rounding out the show are The Head from Atlanta and Hank & Cupcakes from Brooklyn, NY and Tele Novella from Austin (I accidentally mention San Antonio in the episode.)
