So I do not think I will stream tonight so I will just make a post to talk about what I was going to talk about in my stream. I am stepping back from streaming. I have been thinking about this a lot lately and have been doing my best to just keep going and hoping that things would go up but sadly I have just not seen enough to make me feel like this is worth putting in the time I have been putting in here lately. I work full time and then on my days off I will stream all day until my kid is out of school. I have a decent following but have just not really seen any engagement improvement or follower growth over the last couple months. This does not apply to anyone who actually comes by and hangs out in my streams. I appreciate all those that do more than words can explain. You are all the reason I do this. I love getting to meet and talk to new ppl that join the community and the ppl who are already here. I don't wanna make this a drawn out post so I am gonna end this soon. I will not delete my gaming page here or on twitch. I may stream from time to time randomly but it will not be anywhere like what I do now. I apologize to anyone who comes and supports and talks to me in my streams like my few mods who mean a lot to me. I kind of feel like I am letting you down and for that I apologize. I may not be in a lot of streams either, just needing to step away from it all for now. I will def try to be by and say hi to those who have supported me this whole journey. Facebook have changed the way Notifications are being delivered, No matter your notification settings the maximum you will receive is 5 per day. You get notifications for posts, stories, Vods and 2 for live streams. So be mindful about what and when you're posting to your followers.
During this change I'm almost certain after speaking to several content creators those who had notifications set to All have been changed to highlights, this won't be everyone but even streamers I watch this has happened to.
There are 2 places to adjust your notifications. One is the bell in the stream and the other is clicking the 3 dots on the main page and clicking the follower settings. Here you can adjust them to your preference whether you follow for live streams or Vods. This is where you can change the settings to what matters most to you. Those hardcore followers will have the settings set to All for everything.
All I ask is you have a look, make sure you have the settings set to what you want to see on a daily basis. Remember if you're not engaging with a stream I.e. Not commenting, liking or sharing a live stream Facebook automatically thinks you're no longer interested in this content and will effectively stop showing it on your newsfeed.
