Due to inclement weather, Downtown Cary Park’s A Gift to Cary Celebration, scheduled for Saturday, December 2, has been modified.

The activities below are still taking place on December 2. All other programs and activities have been cancelled.

Park visitors can enjoy photos with Santa in Academy Pavilion from 10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Cary’s Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony will be available via live stream at 6 p.m. You can watch from the comfort of your home on Cary’s page, Cary's YouTube Page, or at https://bit.ly/47Q0tLK. Visitors are invited to watch in-person, but there will be limited space inside Academy Pavilion.

The downtown Cary trolley carts have been sent back due to not meeting the town's expectations.

While the town is working on acquiring new ones, this means that they will not be servicing downtown this fall as originally hoped.

The trolleys, that were delivered this summer, did not meet the town's expectations.

Want to experience some phenomenal live music this weekend in Cary?

This Saturday, head over to Bond Brothers Beer Company Eastside and listen to the smooth jams of Jack Spade & The Alley Katz. Doors open at 7:00 PM, and the performance starts at 8:00.

Jackie Spade is a NC-native hip-hop artist. He won "Best Male Artist" at the Carolina Music Awards, was on the 2015 BET HipHop Awards Cypher, and built a following in the hip-hop community.

In the past couple of years, Jackie Spade has switched up his style and brought in The Alley Catz, which incorporates a live band and reinvents his rap tracks to be a smoother package (inspired by the likes of Still Woozy).

Tickets are $10 if purchased ahead of time or $15 at the door.

Wondering when to expect the colors to start popping and the best places to view them in Cary?

We're already starting to see some leaves begin to turn, but we can expect to see some real colors by late October and early November.

We will observe peak color in Cary during the first half of November. Afterward, we can expect to see trees become bare and welcome the winter season.

This shady greenway is quiet, full of wildlife, and just under 2-miles for a roundtrip hike.

Located right off of Robert V. Godbold Park, Northwoods Greenway is a blissful .9 miles of shade, wildlife, and calmness.
