A common stereotype of cats is that they would prefer the box a gift came in more than the gift itself. While Ori did love boxes, many times, she would absolutely love the gifts she was given. This was her first and only cat tree she ever had. She immediately enjoyed playing and napping on it, and it always remained a favourite.

Around 4 months old is when Ori is starting to show hints of her adult body. As a younger kitten, she looked more like other breeds. Long, sleek legs and slender body. Here, she is showing an ever so slightly rounder body. And those back peets? They seemed to stop growing in proportion to the rest of her. Her back peets as an adult (2nd photo) were so little compared to her body. Adult Ori. Baby Ori back peets.

When looking for a name for Ori, I was playing a game called Ori & The Blind Forest. Ori is Hebrew for "my light"

From the Wiki:
Spirits are glowing white creatures with a very strong connection to light, who are the biological children of the Spirit Tree. Ori, the main protagonist of Ori and the Blind Forest, is a Spirit. Some of them were small and lithe and danced through the air, while others were strong and courageous, letting nothing stand in their way.

Basically, the Ori is the hero who is trying to save a dying forest. So, this is the origin of me naming her. I think I picked a fitting name.

Here is an image of Ori the game character being held, then me holding my sweet Ori in a similar way.

It took a few months, but around this time, Ori began to lose her lanky shape. Slowly, she started to gain the roundness that defines Scottish Fold cats. It began with her head, but her legs would take more time to round and fill out.

First Christmas with Ori. When she was a lap cat. She is the only present I need.
