On 26 March 1971, Bangladesh emerged as an independent state. However the naked intervention of the imperialists especially the Anglo-American colonialists have not decreased in any area including the politics and economy of the country in the last fifty years. People are living in extreme misery due to rampant corruption, insecurity, extrajudicial killings and state-sponsored abductions, extreme poverty, unbearable inflation, poor infrastructure and unsafe roads, and lack of basic public services like health care and education. In this context, Hizb ut Tahrir / Wilayah Bangladesh has organized this conference to determine the actions of the people to be liberated from this continuing misery.
