Come and join us for the launch of two books at Oireachtas na Samhna in Killarney today!
We have officially announced the release of
Mo Chuid Uirlisí Ceoil, the debut book from niscolai, Illustrated by . Four musicians, including and ,
will play a variety of instruments featuring various songs from the book. 0nly 50 pre-released copies will be on sale through at the event itself;
after that it's all pre-sale with delivery in December.
We have lots of prizes and giveaways for children in attendance!

Great to see the Irish Section in Chapters on Parnell St. has expanded even more!

We are very proud to have our books displayed in such a historical bookshop!
Very excited to see what other additions will be added to this section and very happy to see our books have a place in it!

We wanted to share more about Wishing Trees as featured in one of our releases, Crann na nGuíonna! ✨
People who had wishes would leave notes and gifts on the branches that embodied their wish.
The most famous wishing tree would be in Tara, shown in the picture above where the branches are full of wishes from people coming from all over!
More information about wishing trees can be found on the last page of Crann na nGuíonna, written in Irish, or you can go online to myirishbooks.com/reading for the English version! 😁🌳

A little shameless but it's not everyday you get to meet someone like Stephen Rea. Fear a dhéanann a dhícheall ar son na Gaeilge. His short Fluent Dysphasia, directed by Daniel O'Hara , who also directed Yu Ming is Ainm Dom, about a man who wakes up a monolingual Irish speaker one morning has been played in schools ar fud na tíre. Arsenal fan too incidentally, like the film.

Wishing trees or fairy trees can be found in many places in Ireland! These were places that were believed to be door-ways to the fairy world.
The trees were considered good places to make wishes for future health and happiness 😄

Nollaig is far far away, i bhfad i bhfad uainn!, but it's a good chance to show how our books are made. We recently received these blank versions for our Xmas books which we check to make sure the sound is working fine. After confirmation, the printer will then add @tatyanafeeney 's images and send more samples.
