Sheriff Grady Judd has had a checkered past in is position in Polk County. Among his violations, he has spend millions in tax dollars conducting investigations to entrap s*x workers and send them to prison for extended sentences.

His record also includes many officers being documented for having corrupt behavior and misconduct, some of which directly harms the public or prisoners.

He has stringently advocated against body cameras for his officers for over 10 years saying that they would be a violation of his officer privacy and that they are not needed for a transparent and public police department. He also justified his position by stating that prisoners and members of the public do not want the officers to have body cameras as they would be a further violation of their privacy by creating public video records of them without their consent.

Really Texas? For Republicans wanting so much freedom they are sure quick to take it away from those who are trying to protect it. Apparently we are living in an authoritarian regime where those in political power are allowed to silence and arrest the people who oppose them. Republicans don’t want fair elections because if they existed, then they would always loose. Enough said.
