This is from Sept 2023...it's worth taking a look into how Columbia owns the most private properties in NYC 320: worth 4 billion...and they pay almost no property tax, take less and less local students..its an ugly business that keeps sucking us dry.

As Columbia University has expanded its footprint, it has also become more of a drain on the city budget because of a state law that allows universities, museums and other nonprofits to pay almost no property taxes. The law saves Columbia more than $182 million annually.
