We all have bad habits, tendencies, or self-talk, or at least most of us do.

These habits would actually stunt your growth in all areas of life, not just business.

You grow when you focus on your path; you grow when you learn to focus on one goal at a time; you grow when you let go of the harsh judgments you give yourself; and you grow when you actually take action on all the things you've learned.

Growth isn't linear; it comes with ups and downs, but the path feels less daunting when you focus on working on these 4 bad habits shared in the carousel.

It took me three days to create 100 pieces of content and get them scheduled.

I've been showing up on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for the past few weeks because I really wanted to share a lot about building online communities without talking too much in each carousel (sharing super simple tips).

Creating these was fun, and I'm really excited to share them.

This is what I'd love for you to realize: When you start building something that is authentic and doesn't feel forced, you make it easy for yourself to show up for it.

And of course, you may have to get over some fears to do that; that's the only hard part, but once you leave your comfort zone, it really feels fun.

Building a community instead of just growing a number of followers is really ideal for long-term growth.

You'd have people who are actually excited to show up for you and support you. I truly think that is amazing, and I'd like that for all online entrepreneurs; that is why I do what I do.

Building your community base takes time, so be patient with yourself, get clear on your goals, and be consistent at showing up and delivering your message.

Your community starts with you and will grow with you if you allow it.

This message is for those who have been niched for so long and now want to branch out into other areas of interest but are too scared to do it.

We are all multi-faceted, and people experience and experiment with new things. It is okay to change your path online and show up differently. You will, in fact, lose some followers while gaining some inadvertently.

So if you've been wanting to start sharing your new passions and interests with your community but have been too scared to do so, please take this message as your permission slip to go ahead and do it.

Not having a consistent flow of cash is a terrible place to be. Adulting is weird and hard sometimes, and working as a freelancer is even weirder.

You are not always in control of the people that decide to work with you, but there are things you can do to sign long-term clients and keep the income consistent for a while.

Imagine how exhausting it would be if what you created was for everyone.

There are about 8 billion people on this earth right now, and you'd definitely win some and lose some, and that is a fact.

You just have to create with the sole aim of attracting those who want to be in your community and repelling those who don't.

So please don't stress over things you can't control and work with what you can; I know that would be much more fun and easier.

I've been talking a lot about community building, and I've realized that we are all, knowingly or unknowingly, members of communities that either build us up or tear us down.

They do say that you are defined by the people you hang out with, and I truly believe that now.

Your community doesn't have to necessarily be those making $10,000 a month or those building online businesses. Your community can be a group of people doing very different things who all strive to support, inspire, and learn from each other.

There comes a stage in building your online community where you see the relationships being formed within it. It's truly rewarding to see the business besties you bring together.

Communities thrive on shared experiences and are all about lasting relationships and connections.

The likes and follows would be a boost to your ego, but that alone doesn't mean anything if you have no in-built sense of community within your audience; it goes deeper than that, and I am so glad that more and more people are starting to realize that.

😎 It really could be this simple, but it is not always the easiest to do.

One interesting thing about selling is that you don't even need a degree to be good at it. Yes, some people get trained and get good; however, when you are really excited and passionate about something, you will sell it without overthinking it, and that is what I am sharing with you today.

You will succeed with your online community when you are truly excited about it and want more and more people to join it. It's almost effortless at this point.

😅I should have just kept my account at 400 followers.

Yeah, yeah, I know the account isn't big, but I hated getting 3 likes on a post with that many followers, so I had to do a revamp, and I did that by focusing on the wrong things.

I'll do better and continue to show up better now that I know better.

🧐 After analyzing over 20 highly engaging online communities, these are the consistent forms of "value" that do well.

"Give value" is often a vague statement, especially if you have no idea exactly what would be considered "valuable."

These tips may be helpful, but ultimately, providing value depends on your community and your goals. Anything that would be extremely helpful to the other party is typically regarded as valuable, useful, and helpful, so stop overthinking it and start sharing as much of your unique experiences and knowledge as you can.

👩‍🏫 Get to the 5th slide before you read this Caption.

The thing is, you are a guide, not a god. When creating your brand and building your online community, the entire goal is to empower them to lead on their own. Your product, content, or business has to have some sort of end.

- After they sign your coaching contract, what do they do on their own without your help?
- After they finish your program, what happens next for them with you out of the picture?
- How does the community build upon itself when you aren't present?

You should always consider that your client and community would get to a point where they wouldn't need you but your services, or products would be a great contributing factor towards their growth.

Please keep this in mind when you create something in your business, it helps you create great products that deliver on the promises made.

I get it. You are a solopreneur and don't have the space to hire assistance right now, which is fine.

All journeys are unique, which is wonderful, but as you continue to grow and create your business, make sure you aren't jeopardizing your vision by holding on to it too tightly or being afraid to let go of control.

Allow support to come to you, allow your business to thrive, and allow things to change for you.

I will continue to preach this until the end of time because it is the reason I do what I do as a Virtual Assistant/Online Business Assistant.

Whoever told you otherwise lied to get you to buy something else that costs money, isn't simple, and keeps you in the intern mindset of business building, ha!

I have been hearing the phrase, "scared money, don't make money". Welll... I hate that phrase, but it's true.

If you are trying to build a 6-or 7-figure business by DIYing and doing it all on your own, then it ain't gonna work.
If you are building this amazing business of yours thinking it should be smooth sailing, then you are in for a surprise.
If you are making decisions in your business like you are waiting on your big boss's approval before you move forward, then you are going to get no where.

So if you've started this business waiting for someone to save you, fearful of investing and expecting things to be all sunshine and rainbows, then I am here to burst that bubble and rain on that parade.

I may have dragged on my point for too long, but I hope it has been made clear to you.

I know and believe that despite the challenges, you are still going to create amazing things in this world with this amazing business you are building.

I came across some content here on IG the other day that mentioned that most online businesses will not survive a day in the "real" world, i.e. offline.

Why?

Well, because some online businesses don't care for their clients after that invoice has been paid. In other words, the client experience and customer care just stinks, like it's horrible!

Trying so hard to increase profit, hence cutting corners in places that need the most attention, is costing you quality, long-term relationships and money.

I get it, most admin work in growing businesses is hard and sometimes draining (ahem, that is why I exist... fill out my application to request assistance), but that doesn't mean you should discard your clients and the support they need.

There's a fine line between holding a boundary and just plain neglecting to truly serve the people who have trusted you as a good investment.

Be authentic, be consistent in being authentic, and give off your best self when serving your clients.

On Tuesday, I shared about cutting off toxic clients, so today's post is for you if you have been slacking in your client support and have been somehow contributing to the "toxic" attitude of the client.

And it doesn't matter if you have 1 client or 100, the rule still applies. Stop treating client relationships like one-night stands.

If you are going to thank God that it's Friday, then you might as well thank him for the money your business is about to make for you.

Money is not good or bad; it's just a tool we use. It's safe and okay to have more money. (If you are cringing at this, then lean into that.)

I am writing this as a way to bring to light the horrible tendency we have to self-sabotage and destroy the roots of our own blessings.

You deserve to have all the things listed on the carousel and more.

You deserve it all because you are worthy of it all. More money in the hands of good people is what's going to change the world.

I hope y'all affirm this and say your secret Amens.
