NODE03: Balrog

Next in our new DJ Mix series NODES is the UK DJ & producer Balrog.

Hailing from the Yorkshire Dales just outside of Leeds, Balrog has supplanted himself in the darker and grittier side of industrial techno with a focus on heavy unrelenting drums, driving bass and obscure distorted vocal. His tracks look back to the classic hard and grooving techno of the early 2000's, but with a fresh injection of modern industrial power.

This young producer has gone from strength to strength over the last few years with multiple releases on exciting techno labels including The Meaning Of Rave, COUP, Green Fe**sh, Taro, Blacklapse, Måinmise, Archivio 01 and Gobsmacked. These releases and unreleased tracks have received support from some of the biggest in the scene including Dax J, Rebekah, Paula Temple, Stephanie Sykes, Manni Dee, Gijensu, Tham, SHDW & Obscure Shape, Dahryl and many more.

Balrog also runs his own record label, Khazad Records, which releases music from the very best industrial and hard techno talent around.
