The Predator storyline ends with the playable character visiting the Caverns, which are probably located somewhere else on Fury161 too. Here, the Predator is searching for a worthy trophy to add to its collection, and that trophy is an Alien Queen located underneath. However, there is a Marine Squad deployed on the upper floors. The idea is to try and sneak unnoticed by them, if the idea is to fulfill the objective to unlock the Cheat Mode hidden in Episode V. Also, to no one's surprise, the lower floors are infested by Aliens, which will protect their Queen at all costs, and tear apart any intruder in the process.

Finally, the Queen is waiting for the Predator in Episode VI: Battle. The showdown against the Queen herself is not a big deal, but she is accompanied by TWO NASTY FACEHUGGERS. You must get rid of those first, otherwise they might impregnate you, and if you managed to kill the Queen while any of those two is still alive, the level won't end until you kill them. Unfortunately, you can't find any reload for the Speargun, so better kill those nasty creatures quickly, without spending too many shots. In the worst-case scenario, you can still slay the Queen with the Wristblades, but any mistakes and the Queen will tear you apart. Also, watch out for any damage you could take, because the Medicomp was deactivated too.

I hope you like this video. There are still the Bonus Episodes to cover, but I'll switch to other videogames for now. Bye!

Like I did with the Marine storyline, I included my gameplay of Episodes V and VI in the same video, because Episode VI is very short. In Caverns, you must b...

The Predator left Area 52 before the self-destruction sequence finished, and set its course to Fury 161. Yes, the same prison planet where theevents of Alien 3 happened (by the way, this saga considered canon that movie). The smelting facility where the human prisoners were sent to work is already infested by the Aliens, and there is a Marine strike force on its way to deal with them, so the Predator arrived to the right place to continue its hunting.

This mission is much easier than Vaults, as the Xenomorphs don't become as annoying, since there are more open areas to retreat if they try to corner you. I must say, I got surprised because I expected a similarly hard level, because of my struggle to beat Vaults, but I'm not really complaining.

I hope you like this video. The conclusion of this campaign will be posted soon, too.

This episode felt much easier that Vaults, even though I had to face more Praetorians in the way, maybe because the rooms were bigger and there were more Ene...

Well, it's time to get back to business.

Like I did with Marine Episode III: Invasion, I made another playthrough of Vaults, but now I did a more comprehensive exploration of the scenario, as the lower floors of Area 52 hid many secrets that I was unable to look at because I needed to fulfill the Objective to unlock the Cheat Mode. Please behold the magnificence (or the monstruosity) of the experiments carried out by the scientific personnel of this secret installation.

I hope you like this video, and I'll post another link soon. Bye!

I thought it would have taken many more attempts than the ones I needed, but I was able to do a complete sweep to the scenario. Of course, I used the Medicom...

I apologize for my absence on this social network during all this time, but I didn't feel like showing up here. Besides, I was busy preparing my thesis in the meantime, and I successfully defended it.
I am now a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering!

I was more active on YouTube and I uploaded several videos, so I stockpiled a large collection to resume posting links here on a regular basis, but I also started a Ph. D., so spare time will be an issue again. I hope to get enough time to post some videos each weekend, although I still need to get used to my new routine here. Therefore, I'll start slow with the reactivation of this site.

By the way, would you want me to play this mod? Please state your preference in a comment below.

The third Episode is called "Vaults", and it's the hardest level of the Predator storyline. I would even say it's the hardest of the entire game.

Now that the playable Predator arrived at the ship of the fellow hunter, more equipment is available to proceed to the deepest floors of Area 52. The Pistol and the Disc are now part of the arsenal, and they will be needed all the way from here. The episode starts like the previous level, until the Predator shuts down the Specimen Containment. Yes, this is when the Aliens appear, and they won't stop until they rip apart everything that moves. Xenomorphs, Facehuggers and even Praetorians are in the way. But when things seemed to come together, the Predator does a terrible discovery.

I refrained myself from using the Medicomp during this gameplay, because the objective to unlock the Cheat Mode was to take less than 100% damage, referring to the Predator's full health. Of course, I had to try it a lot of times, because Aliens spawned endlessly.

I hope you like this video. Not quite appropriate for this time, actually, but I have been (and I am) busy working on my thesis recently (and currently), so it's what I have to offer.
That being said, Merry Christmas everyone!

This level is one of the hardest of this game, if not the most. It took me several retries this whole weekend, but I made it through. I had to ignore all ene...

15/12/2020

Now that the first line of defense of the Military Base was trespassed, the Predator will continue his search for his captured fellow hunter. The second episode "Area 52", takes place right after the end of Waterfall. The upper floors of the Installation are heavily guarded by more Marines and a handful of armed Civilians. There is also a Sentry Gun that will riddle the playable Predator if the player is not careful. Close to the end of the level, an Android is guarding the Laundry Room. Like the Sentry Gun, the Android can't be spotted with the Thermal vision, like the rest of the human charaters, but they get highlighted with the Electrical vision.

Will the Predator be able to save his fellow? What do these humans do in this secret base? Why is it so heavily guarded? Stay tuned to find out!

This video was the third time I tried to record this episode. When I wanted to show you the Cheat Mode I unlocked on this level, the game froze, and I lost t...

10/12/2020

I'm revisiting my videos of Aliens versus Predator to show you the Storyline of my favorite species out of the three: the Predator. In this first Episode, titled "Waterfall", the playable Predator seeks to infiltrate into a secret Marine base, codenamed "Area 52". The humans managed to capture a fellow hunter and bring it to the base for experimentation. The access point is heavily guarded by the military, but Predators have higher technology, superior strength and are masters of stealth.

But why the episode is called Waterfall? Well, the answer is close to the end of the level, but watch the video to see it by yourself. About the Cheat Mode, the one unlocked here is named "Pigsticking" and it gets unlocked by having an accuracy of 80 percent or higher. Unlike the Marine Episode II, this one is easy to acquire, since the Shoulder Cannon auto-tracks the targets when the correct Vision Mode is selected, and the Speargun allows to cut off enemy limbs in one shot.
I hope you like this video. See you around!

I started my gameplay of the Predator storyline, and I can say that this first episode is not hard. You have to make your way through the Marine patrols to i...

Here are the remaining endings of The Room Three, which are obtained by finding the second Mysterious Artifact. The game doesn't display clues to find any of the artifacts in Grey Holm, so I had to figure out everything by myself. However, I failed to see a mechanism on one side of a drawer, in the desk where there was the first Oscilloscope of the game. I was about to give up and watch a solution on the Internet when I noticed the mechanism. I felt extremely dumb because of that.

Going back to the remaining endings, the first one I unlocked was the "Escape" ending, which is quite similar to the "Released" ending, except that there is no Giant Cephalopod this time, and the note at the end is different, saying that "Grey Holm never existed" in a sort of "everything was a dream" type of ending. The last ending, which is also the hardest to obtain as you need both artifacts, is the "Lost" ending. It is tricky to obtain, since you need to find where to use the Screwdriver in the Final Room of the game. For some reason, that ending takes the playable character to Mars, specifically to a cluster of Pyramids on that planet. Needless to say, this is the weirdest ending of all.

How is the character able to breath over there, and stand under the harsh weather of the red planet? Did he undergo a sort of "John Carter adaptation" to survive without an astronaut suit? Nevertheless, this is the most likely ending to serve as a starting point for a Sequel, and maybe the "Released" ending, although I don't know wether "Bethlehem" is a fictional or real location.
I hope you liked this trilogy. Next post will be about another game. See you around!

This is the final video of this playlist (at least until a non-VR version of Old Sins or another title in the series is released), and I would like to have d...

There are four possible endings for The Room Three, depending on the Mysterious Artifacts hidden in Grey Holm. If you are unable to find them, you will unlock the "Imprisoned" ending, which is when the playable character failed to see the trap where The Craftsman was leading him into. During this gameplay, I figured out how to obtain one of the artifacts, and I unlocked the "Released" ending too, where a Giant Alien Cephalopod appears from the sky and destroys Grey Holm. It would be interesting to know how the game would follow after the "Released" ending, since it's not clear in the end if you have to try to trust The Craftsman, or if it's the playable character who is sending the note to an unknown person that also got involved with the Null.

My apologies for the quality of the Ending Cinematics. Maybe I should have lowered the graphic settings, or the game was too much for my PC. The other two endings will be shown in the next video. See you around!

The fifth Chapter takes place in an Observatory, where a Telescope was the first thing that drew my attention. It took me a long while to figure out how to make progress after the Telescope was operational, so I send my apologies for that. I liked this Chapter a lot, but I was puzzled about what was so important about planet Mars, as it recurrently appeared in a handful of puzzles. How could Mars be related to the Null?

But the time of playing along is running out, so it is imperative to foretell what is The Craftsman up to, before it is too late...

The next parts of Grey Holm that need to be visited are the Clock Tower in Chapter Three and the Forge in Chapter Four. The Clock Tower looks quite sinister since the level occurs at night, and there is an unfriendly crow around that gave me the creeps. The forge, on the other hand, is set on daylight, although it requires a lot of hard work and thought to solve the puzzles there. It was fun to craft my own key to open the box in the Forge. With those Chapters completed, it is still unclear what are the true intentions of The Craftsman, and why is the playable character so important in his schemes. For now, the only way forward is to keep playing along...

The next game in The Room series (and the last I have played so far) is "The Room Three". The events in this game occur shortly after the end of The Room Two, although the exact amount of time remains unknown. However, it turns out that someone else was trying to unravel the mysteries of the Null element, aside from A.S. and the playable character. That other person was a mysterious man, only known as "The Craftsman". He turns to be a hostile character that used the Null to easily kidnap the playable character to a place named "Grey Holm". From now on, the only option is to play along and do what he asks for...

Here I played the first two Chapters, where the tutorial is presented and the first Room to explore, which is the Pyre Lighthouse. The Eyepiece was modified by this mysterious man, in order to inspect some "inception puzzles". There is a notorious example of this in Chapter Two.

19/11/2020

Here I play the remaining chapters of The Room Two. Chapter Five is the shortest of the game. I spent more time looking around for interactible stuff than trying to solve the puzzles. Chapter Six is a nice follow-up. A hidden laboratory where bizarre experiments involving the Null were carried out by someone. There is also a note from A.S., despite having found his body in Chapter Four. Maybe he was there before the Chapter Four room. I needed to ask for many Hints while playing this level, since it was not obvious at some points what to do next.

My apologies if the Ending Cinematic looks terrible. Maybe I should have played this game with lower graphic settings. Aside from that, I hope you like this video, and I will post the next game in this series in the upcoming days. See you around!

This is the final video of this game. I didn't know that Chapter Five was going to be that short. I would have recorded it in the previous video if I knew. A...

Chapter Four of The Room Two doesn't look scary at all at the start. However, some spooky stuff happens while making progress through the level. At the end, things become terrifying, to the point where the fate of our friend A.S. is revealed. This is where the Null shows its dangerous side to its full extent, and the player realizes that he's in huge trouble.

Despite what I said above, the typing machine in this Chapter is the ideal instrument for the ones that want to mess around writing nonsense in whatever game they come across. I liked this level, despite not supporting Tarot or related stuff.
Will the playable character escape this strange realm without sharing the same fate as A.S.? Stick around to see the next Chapters in this story. See you!

This is the part where the events in the game become really spooky. In Chapter Four, the protagonist of the game appears in a Living Room of a 19th Century M...

06/11/2020

Here in the Chapter Three of The Room Two, I found some game-breaking glitches in my gameplay. In the very first puzzle of the level, the game didn't pick up the metallic object that is blocking the access to the Chapter Three chamber. I didn't know what was going on, so I deleted that part and started the current video.

After that, the game was working normally, until I needed to fire the Crossbow. For some unknown reason, the trigger got stuck, and it didn't fire the Bolt. You can hear in the video how the trigger kept sounding when I pulled it. I had to restart the chapter from scratch, but fortunately, I didn't experience any of these annoying bugs. It was sad, because I liked this level, although the game starts becoming creepy from this point.

I hope you like this video. See you around!

Now I'm presenting "The Room Two", which is the direct continuation from the end of The Room. It starts like being "more of the same", but the puzzles become harder to solve from Chapter Two. Also, my computer had some trouble to run this game smoothly, maybe I should have lowered the graphic settings to avoid that inconvenience, but I didn't consider it at the moment I recorded the video. Anyway, here are the first two Chapters. See you around!

Here is the rest of my gameplay of The Room. It is way more complex than just using the Eyepiece to find hidden messages around. Pattern recognition, logic puzzles, complex keys, all of them set in a dark and lonely environment, searching into the unknown.

I hope you like it, and get ready for more, because this is only the beginning of the adventure.

I thought I was capable of finishing the game in just two videos, as I considered that making a third video for Chapter Five alone was too much. However, I c...

I wanted to rest from posting last week, but I'm ready to resume my usual activity. Today I'm sharing my gameplay through a Point & Click series of games, named "The Room". The first game in the trilogy has the same title commented before, and it tests your puzzle-solving skills. The riddles are clever, and if you like to look into the intrincated mechanisms under the case of any device you see, this game is definitely for you.

Here I play through the first two Chapters of the game. I had already played this game about a year or two ago, so I trusted that I forgot most of the details about each Chapter. I remembered many things about Chapter One, but my memory didn't help me that much in Chapter Two.

Given the nature of Point & Click games, I must warn you that my video is full of Spoilers, so watch it only if it won't bother you.
See you around!

Hello! I'm playing another Point & Click game this time. This one is named "The Room" and I got it on Steam. I recorded this video with the Xbox Gaming Tool....

Golden Axed: A Cancelled Prototype is the last Free to Play Game released by SEGA to celebrate their 60th anniversary, and the title says everything about this game. It was the Proof-of-Concept of the Cancelled Game Golden Axe Reborn. It is just one level with three different types of enemies, and there is no Boss Fight, despite having a Boss in the background of the last room in the level. It is sad, since it definitely had potential to become a great game. Anyway, it's still worth playing it because it won't take much of your time and the game felt nice while I played it.

I'll be returning to my normal posting schedule next week, so I hope you liked this special series of posts. See you around!

Strrets of Kamurocho is the third game in the series of SEGA's 60th Anniversary celebration. It is a Beat 'em Up like Streets of Rage, where you have to end a Gang War by wiping out all members of the Yakuza, the Chinese Mafia and miscellaneous Criminals from the neighborhood of Kamurocho, in Japan.

The game loops in the same scenario during each Round, endlessly, until the playable character loses all of his lives. You can unlock an additional character after beating Round 1 for the first time, and there are multiple Secret Moves, although I only discovered one. It's a fun game, and I hope you give it a chance. Besides, it only weighs about 30 MB, so it won't take much disk space to give it a go.

Like the previous two games, this one is Free to Play and will only be available until the rest of this week, so try it out fast.

16/10/2020

I'm posting another video of a time-limited game. My personal favorite so far in this series. This one is titled Endless Zone, which is set in the universe of the Fantasy Zone franchise.

This one is a Side-Scroller Shoot 'em Up, where you control a small Starfighter that must engage a whole Enemy Fleet, using a Photon Beam gun and Bomb Shells to fulfill the task. There is a Shop in the form of a Pickup, where you can purchase Upgrades for your gun, your bomb shells and your Engine, as well as buy a Special Weapon (Nuclear Bombs) and Extra Lives. The difficulty of the game is that you die if you get hit. As a matter of fact, I died a lot of times in the video, but I managed to clear level 1.

Unlike Armor of Heroes, I didn't need to lower the graphic settings. It ran smootly all the time, so I hope this encourages you even more to give this game a chance. Remember, this game will only be available until the end of this week.

16/10/2020

I didn't plan to post anything today, but the game I'm showing here will only be available until the end of this week. Armor of Heroes is a Twin-Stick Shooter, set on the Company of Heroes environment (a WWII themed franchise). It was released specifically to celebrate the 60th Anniversary of SEGA, and it's Free to Play! (while still available, of course).

The game is quite simple. Control a Tank and destroy all other Tanks in the way, although the scenario is destructible too. The Tank might be hard to control if you are not used to steer instead of strafe with A and D while using WASD to move, but I had a lot of fun with it when I got the grip of the controls (but only to some extent, as I still had a lot of trouble to regain orientation after turning the cannon). The game is even funnier when playing with friends (Local Multiplayer only, although apparently Steam Remote works for an Online alternative. Sadly, I can't confirm that last thing, since I never used Steam Remote), so give it a chance if you can.

Here is a Warning, though. I had to play it Windowed, on Low Quality graphics and with the Anti-Aliasing Off, because it was unplayable for me with higher settings. My computer is not high-end, but it isn't a toaster either, so try these settings if the game runs sluggish.

I hope you like this, and my apologies if this post looks rushed, because it IS. See you around!

I'm uploading this video off my usual schedule, because this Free to Play Game is available only during the rest of this week. By the way, I recorded this ga...

I still need to think what game to show next, but meanwhile, I can share a useful videoguide with you. Here, I play Raptor: Call of the Shadows again, with the objective of unlocking the Steam achievement "All Sectors". This achievement is very odd, because it doesn't unlock when beating the game on any difficulty. I didn't record the original gameplay, but I did exactly the same in the video. Beat the game as shown here and the achievement will unlock.

I will post a video of another game for the next time. See you around!

The whole game is a huge load of fun, but this part is definitely the funniest. The Sword Mastery trial involves learning insults to challenge the Sword Master of Melee Island. Many of them still make me laugh when I remember them in random moments.

It was also dumb that I took so long to figure out when to use which insult to respond against my opponent. Also, I took even longer to realize that I could scroll down to search for more dialogue options, so I could have beaten that part much sooner than I did.

See you around!

It might be the funniest part of the game, especially because the insults, as well as their "correct replies" are so over the top that I still laughed at the...

04/09/2020

Here are roughly two hours more of my progression through the game. The first trial I completed was the Thievery one, by stealing the Idol from the Governor's Mansion. The Sheriff will prove to be a pest during this quest, though. The good thing is that Guybrush can hold his breath for 10 minutes, which was pretty much how long it took me to realize how to get out of the lake Guybrush was thrown into. The next one was to find the Treasure of Melee Island, which had a very peculiar "Map". Fortunately, I figured out the trick when I accidentally clicked on the Forest Fork spot.

Watch the video to see the full details!

I should really have had figured out that one sooner than I did. At least I didn't have to ask for hints at every single point in the game. However, I'm doin...

01/09/2020

I recently started playing some Point & Click games, which is a genre I don't usually play. The first game of this type I picked up was The Secret of Monkey Island, a game developed by LucasArts (yes, they also made games non-related to Star Wars), although I played the Special Edition, as the original game was made in 1990. However, if you are nostalgic and want to play the game like it looked back in those days, this Special Edition has the option to switch between the Classic Version and the Remastered one. I just stuck to the Remastered, but the option is there.

About the game, the playable character is Guybrush Threepwood, a young man that wants to become a Mighty Pirate, but needs to pass some "Trials" to be accepted as such. He has to prove his skills at Sword Fighting, Thievery and Treasure Hunting. Now that he knows what he must do to become a Pirate, the adventure kicks off.

Playing games like this is quite useful, because they make you realize that you may not be as smart as you think you are. Watch this video to see how clumsy I turned out to be!
