Alexander John Charles McLachlan was charged with the following offences:

1. 3 counts of Assault, on or about October 15, 2019, January 1, 2020, June 1, 2020 and October 27, 2022, contrary to Section 266 of the Criminal Code.
2. Overcome Resistance by Attempting to Choke, on or about October 15, 2019, Contrary to Section 246(a) of the Criminal Code.
3. Criminal Harassment by repeatedly communicating, on or about October 21, 2021 to November 2, 2022, contrary to Section 264(2)(b) of the Criminal Code.

Date of Charge: November 18, 2022 & November 24, 2022
Place of Charge: Renfrew, Ontario

As of January 3, 2023

Alexander McLachlan was also charged with the following offences:

1. 4 counts of Failure to Comply with an Undertaking on or about December 28, 2022, contrary to s. 145(4)(a) of the Criminal Code.
2. 1 count of Uttering Threat to Cause Death on or about December 28, 2022, contrary to s. 264.1(1)(a) of the Criminal Code.

Ian, dismember her co**se and stuff it into 4 Home Depot pails, placed them inside a home made crate, and tried to hide the crate under a cottage while he was doing renovations to it.
