More than a million tests have been conducted nationally, and did nothing to slow the virus spread. More than 30,000 people have recovered but they would never have caught it if we had given clear instructions to wear medical masks in public and make our own if required to cover world shortages caused because all our manufacturing has been transferred to China.
How we have learned our lesson a very hard way.
Here is the quick mask anyone can make that is almost as good to protect you as a medical mask.
It also protects others and gets the virus out of our country,our city, and our community.
Social distancing indoors does little on its own.This virus floats in the air after an infected person has been in a room or a store where the air is still.
Your chances of dying are 1 in 20.Without a mask you probably will catch it.
No-one wearing masks when the virus was initially investigated in Wuhan hospitals were infected.China made going facemasks mandatory for going out in public.So did South Korea,and Taiwan,Other countries are following.
