Several times during the Level Up Kizomba Weekender! I just sat there staring out at the event with a goofy smile.
All of the stress and worry about organizing the event had melted away.
Seeing the event's learning and dancing all coming together was such a joy!
This joy would not have been possible without a huge amount of help.
My beautiful wife Nnenna, for helping to promote, encouraging me, and most of all your willingness to do such an event with so little time!
Kency Vee helped teach, set the DJ lineup, and promote for the event. Without such an active dance partner helping put this together none of this would have worked!
Carlos and Anna Maria, thank you so much for your fantastic classes, for putting up with the long commute, for being such wonderful guests in Nnenna and my home, and for helping keep the party going!
Brianna Williams for organizing the volunteers and being the head volunteer, thank you! And don't you dare say of course, there is no way all that help can be taken as "of course".
Thank you to the check-in volunteers, Trini Johnson, and Rasika Apte!
Our Kizomba na Rua! Official Level Up Kizomba Weekender Preparty! DJs Araceli Castillo and Giovanni Jc thank you!
Rumuri Kabahizi thank you for capturing photos of the event, I look forward to the gorgeous pictures!
Eric Pardo, thank you for grabbing videos and pitching in. I can't wait to see what you are putting together from this event! (I can wait a bit lol, we still have lessons to do!)
Thank you to Antonio Lucero and all of the staff at Ocho and Coco’s Fire & Ice for having us in your wonderful venues.
Thank you to DJ Wayvz for your great sets as always!
I fear people read as always and do not truly get what I mean, event after event Wayvz has played for us music that is exactly the vibe we are looking for, and the mixing of that music is so buttery smooth it would go great on some toast. I think that metaphor got away from me, but seriously he is good!
Shika, thank you for your excellent guidance on how to put on this event and for being a tremendous help getting DJ Koala G here.
Gerard Cartwright aka DJ Koala G, even though all of the technical issues had me convinced there was Gremlin picking on you, you kept the music going no matter what, and your playing was soooo good! Clearly, the Gremlin was jealous which was why it was picking on you!
John Noel thanks for bringing your controller to help resolve the technical issues.
Cindy Velez, your enthusiasm for Kizomba is deeply appreciated, and is clearly evident by the group of your fellow Oklahoma people you helped recruit to the event, thank you!
Last but not least, you! You that attended, shared the event, and posted the profile picture, thank you! Without you all there are no classes, or parties, and for that I thank you so much!
