Sometime ago,
I was discussing with someone and she said the reason she made some wrong choices for her self is because they were accusing her of things she never did, calling her names and telling her all sorts of things. And so she started doing all those things which they said she was doing.
I was surprised like are you for real. I told her see as a child, I was always called names, the said I use to drop my market and go in with a man, when I lost something r maybe miscalculation they will say I gave it to a man, abi na the steady beat.ing or verbal abuse which comes everyday. I mean everyday. To the extent people started saying I was not part of the family cuz as far as they know me am a good child, I'll always carry my market to hawk and I don't branch anywhere. I grew up from a little community in South south region and whatever you do people see you. As the story was going on, they said I'll soon get pregnant so that people talking won't have mouth to talk anymore or defend me anymore. I was in secondary school then, I vowed not to have any se..xual relationship with any man. I swo..re to prove myself innocent of all accusations and put the evul wishers to sha.me.
How can you let them have the last laugh at you. How do you sit and fall into the fire they said you'll fall into. How do you let people who have no good intentions about you define your life.
Today am here, still that little girl, thriving and watching those who were waiting to laugh at me using me as examples.
Am urging you too.... Don't sit there and let them say "I said it"....
They are not your maker and so should not define your life and destiny.
Stand up and make your bed cause at the end of the day you're the only person that will lie on it. Only you will suffer or enjoy from the decision you make today....
When you do it today to give them the "I don'tcare-life" you'll wake tomorrow to find yourshat.tered life seeking for your care.
