Before you ask how, let's start with 'what.'

You may have seen posts on social media about freelancing, VAs, and WFH jobs. Maybe, that's even why you're on this page.

If, at any point, you're one of the people who wondered or commented "how", here is a quick guide on what these terms really mean.

In summary:
📌 Sa freelancing, ikaw and boss mo. Pwede kang maging Graphic Designer, Copywriter, VA or kung saan ka magaling.
📌 Kapag VA ka, you will help your clients sa mga tasks na assigned sayo. Pwede ka ring maging freelancer tapos ito ang offer mo, or pwede ring under ka ng agency who will help connect you with a client.
📌 WFH can apply to freelancers and VAs but also regular employees na nasa 9-5 jobs but can also do their work remotely.

Reference: Me!

Job hunting can feel like a chore. And technically, it is! Not all of us are lucky to become an anak ng CEO or a trophy wife (although you may still have time to work on that).

But here are some things I prepare for whenever I job hunt. This is what I have learned 9 jobs later at 20-something.

It's important to know what you are looking for in the first place. You don't need to figure everything out all at once. You can think of your career needs at the moment. To gain experience ba? Something that pays at least XX,### month? Part-time lang ba muna?

Establishing your non-negotiables is also highly recommended. No graveyard shifts? No to a disorganized and unclear recruitment process? Set them before diving in.

Of course, be prepared for what's about to come. Like many, I have also encountered no email responses and rejections. You may have to face a lot of them. And I mean, A LOT. Some companies really need to improve their systems too, noh?

At one point, you may feel discouraged and question your capabilities, and that's valid. Just remember that it happens even to the best of us. Insert someone famous with an inspirational success story here, chos!

But yes, take a break if things get overwhelming, and keep going when you're ready.

Hindi required ang new year's resolution.

As Filipino children, back to school after welcoming new year means writing down and reading out loud our new year's resolutions.

To no surprise, most of them fail kasi nga:
1. Hindi pa tayo ready.
2. We set resolutions based on what we think we should do rather than what we actually want to do.
3. Dahil hindi nga tayo ready, wala tayong plano.
4. Because of that, we overlook what we have to give up.
5. When we do, we realize that we really aren't ready to make a change.

Sometimes, we may get too confident that our goals are way too easy. But it's also important to acknowledge that change is hard. And struggling with change is okay. It's part of the process.

As we grow older, know that initiating change works best when you have enough motivation, when you're ready to make it, and you are finally committed to seeing change despite the bad days.
