Our June episode is out now.

Aside from giving it a listen, why don't you review New Ears right here on Facebook. As we enter the final 1/4th of the first volume, it'd be a great way to help spread the show and getting volume 2 under way.

04/06/2021

Next Monday our June episode drops and while we sure hope everyone checks it out, we thought we'd take this chance to update listeners on the future of the show.

When New Ears started, it was originally intended to consistently release episodes without stopping. As time has gone on, the production schedule and difficulty has made it clear that that isn't a viable option. Instead, we are going to think of the first 20 full (non bonus) episodes as the first volume or season. After episode 20 is released in a few months, we will be releasing a bonus episode to serve as a review/best of for the first volume and then taking an extended hiatus.

We would very much like to do a volume 2 in the future, so if you want that too, help us spread the show, give your favorite episodes a 2nd (or 3rd) listen, and consider participating in the write in episode to end volume 1.

We're really proud of the episodes we have released so far and the ones coming up and hope you've enjoyed them. Thanks for listening and keep subscribed for more.

03/05/2021

We've got a lot of interesting stuff coming out soon, including some of the most recent releases we've covered on the show and some of our hosts favorite records of all time.

For now, check out the newest episode in our feed, the 2nd part of our Beast in the Maze crossover. Available anywhere you find your podcasts.

21/04/2021

We are planning out a write in episode and would like to get as many former guests or new participants involved as possible. If interested, please email us ([email protected]) with the subject write in episode.

17/04/2021

If you have listened to every single episode of New Ears, please like this status.

14/04/2021

We are looking for some listener feedback for an upcoming project. What was your favorite discussion on a standout track?

We're trying to highlight the discussion of one song off of every record we've talked about.

09/04/2021

Anyone who is interested in doing a host picked album in the near-ish future, please reach out. Trying to plan out our 20th episode and then we should have something special and different for the episode that follows.

07/04/2021

It would probably be the worst thing that ever happened if someone made a New Ears Wikipedia page.

05/04/2021

This month on New Ears we are sharing our time with our good friends over at Beast in the Maze podcast. A couple months back, Jonathon joined them for a round of picks (two episodes) and we wanted to make sure people got to hear those here. This episode is on The Story of the Ghost by Phish.

Make sure to follow them to hear more about Phish and Iron Maiden and come back next month here as we rejoin them for their talk on The X Factor by Iron Maiden.

23/03/2021

We're looking for some help editing, so if you or someone you know likes editing or wants to start, send'em our way.

13/03/2021

We're going to have a bonus episode coming out in March. While there is still time, is there anything listeners would like asked or mentioned on the show?

If so, send a message to us here and we will include it in the bonus ep.

19/02/2021

We're getting awfully close to 500 downloads. In the grand scheme of things, that may not be that impressive, but in this life, you gotta find reasons to celebrate.

Thanks so much to everyone who has been listening. Please continue to do so and spread the podcast around as much as you can. Let's see if we can hit 500 before March!

14/02/2021

You know what February means? You're a few days closer to a new episode than usual.

Hope everyone's 2021 has started out alright. Whether you're back to work or need a little company, our new episode drops on Monday. We'll be joined by Matt from the Beast in the Maze podcast to cover the earliest release year record we've done so far (Jethro Tull's Aqualung).

Remember to check the feed on the first Monday of the month because we are very excited about the Feb. & Mar. episodes (Buck 65 & Fugazi) and stay safe out there.
