The away support in Birmingham was out of this world. Top class from the fans from start to finish, shame the same can't be said for the team again. The form we're in we look like one of the worst Rangers teams I've seen in my lifetime, there is nothing to excite us on that park and I can't figure out our style of play for the life of me.

Once again, I'm hoping the 'it's just preseason' crew are right, but it doesn't usually work that way.

Rangers have 10 days to sign some new players as that's the Uefa cut off to register players for this.
Kyiv or Partizan Belgrade for our 3rd round UCL qualifier. Glad we avoided Fenerbache as I don't think we're quite ready for that level yet. First leg will be away so August 13th for Hampden.

Presuming we win this round we'll likely play the winners of Salzburg Vs Twente or Fenerbache vs Lille.

Clement’s comments to the press in Holland training camp -

“That’s the reality that the board told me a few months ago.

“I know this, the recruitment team knows this also. This is the reality of the club.

"I had other expectations when I came in October, I have to say."

“But I know the reality now. I am very motivated to build the club and help in that. It’s focusing not only on the short term but also on the long term.

“If I only looked at the short term I would only bring in experienced players who can do the job directly. Mistakes like that have been made too much in the past and at the end you don’t reach your goals.

“You need a different philosophy and that’s what we are all working towards. This is a massive rebuilding job, it is true."

Too me this is a clear message to the board to get transfers going along quicker. I feel sorry for him and what he's being given to work with.

Hmm. What's the thoughts after the game then? Without trying to break down our first televised preseason game too much it was pretty frustrating to only see 1 new face in the starting 11. I did really like the look of Barron when he came on though, very confident on the ball and looking to play forward. We actually looked better today when all the youngsters came on to provide us with more energy.

The same old frustrations were there for everyone to see for the first hour or so though with us struggling to attack and create combinations, Goldson completely switching off for Ajax first goal then another Butland howler for Ajax' 2nd goal (yes Butland made other great saves though). I was also impressed with what I seen of Kelly when he came on.

Hope Raskins injury isn't anything serious but it's just typical of us.

It's clear to see what still needs punted and what needs brought in from this squad. We'll have more of an idea and opinion after the next 3 games I suppose! ⚽

So this is officially home for the foreseeable future. Announced by the club now, with further personal update coming from John Bennett by the end of July.

We will have some massively important fixtures played at Hampden now including UCL qualifiers. Every season ticket holder will have a seat available but CCCS won't be taking place until back at Ibrox which as of now, we have no date for. 🙄⚽

Scottish media reporting Jack Butland is set to take captaincy at Rangers. Looks like Tav could be off to Saudi with Gerrard & I'd presume Goldson off aswell since he's currently the vice captain. Unless Clement has just stripped the captaincy, which makes sense but I doubt.

At the other end of the pitch PAOK from Greece are in advanced talks with Dessers. The players side are satisfied with the financial package but no fee agreed between clubs yet.

Constant other rumours going around currently, it's certainly going to be a busy summer! ⚽

Welcome Connor Barron. Bet he can't wait to play at Murrayfield 🙃 Happy with this signing but what yet another clownshow upstairs at Ibrox having to play our August matches in Murrayfield.

In case anyone hasn't seen already, Ibrox won't be ready for the start of the season due to "shipping delays from Asia" to complete the Copland stand work.

Leon Balogun set to be offered new 1 year contract. It's dividing opinions from what I've seen so far but personally I'm happy about this. It's unrealistic to think we'll be getting 4 new CBs in the door so I think having the big man around as a back up behind 2 new CBs is a very sensible decision.

He's always got the right attitude & one of the guys we can honestly say gives us 100% every time he plays. I'm happy for him 💙⚽

Better team & again our own mistakes to give them a goal. As blatant corruption as you'll see for our goal chopped off but you knew this squad from that point never had the mentality to win it from there. What a task for Clement & the board this summer. Fans were fantastic 👏💙

We're set to see the familiar face Liam Kelly back at Ibrox soon who left Rangers to try and find first team football is on the verge of returning. It seems to be due to McLaughlin then potentially McCrorie leaving. However it's not confirmed that Butland won't be leaving to give us more funds to spend on outfield players.

Koppen has been a busy man & it's refreshing to see us linked with so many players linked from different leagues to the usual we look in like the Austrian & Bulgarian market for example.

We look set to sign Brazilian 20 year old LB Jefte we we made contact with in January & a 22 year old LCB from Panama called Cordobo who is valued around 3m.

Many others currently linked including a 23 year old striker Rrahmani from Kosovo who plays for Neil Lennons new team of all people...

Cantwell getting a lot of stick across the socials tonight for all his social media posts... Cantwell is far from the issue. He is & will be very important for us but all these celebration pictures when you lost the league by 8 points & didn't even win your game are not it. Silva the same but he'll be away summer anyway so doesn't matter as much.

Noticed the difference between Silva, Cantwell & McCauslands reactions to the goals. Proper attitude towards the game from the youngster who scored a screamer but barely even cracked a smile and got right back on with the game. There's a time and a place!

I don't doubt Cantwell gives his all on the pitch for us but these things make you question if a player understands the magnitude of this club.

So next years kits have been leaked 😬 Seen someone on twitter say that 3rd top is like Castor went onto the Rangers ticket site for availability for the Dundee game tomorrow 😂🤦 I think that 3rds one of the worst kits we'll have ever produced.

Personally a fan of the white away kit and the home tops you can't really go wrong with 🟠⚪🔵

Man... We knew it would be tough but I didn't expect to lose it like that. Yes we had it ur chances to score but ultimately a lot of the blame needs to lie on Lundstram. What a way to end your Rangers career but I suppose that's what you get when you play a guy who rejects contracts and doesn't want to be here.

The performance, concidering, wasn't horrible. Plenty of belief should be there that we can win the cup final.

If you'd have asked us when Clement took over to have a title race then win 2 trophies you'd ha e took that in a heartbeat. Can't wait to see what Clement & Koppen get up to in the summer.
