Capt Ahmed has grown up in vicinity of villages. His formative years went reading Premchand and experiencing Premchand's characters in the villages he used to visit.

Somewhere those memories of hardships of those downtrodden society, that we in cities can not even imagine, are still alive in Capt Ahmed's thoughts.

As he sees a tragic incident or a news his childhood memories come back and the words flow down his pen. Like any writer, his pen inks his emotions.

Besides writing he is very active in theater, done a couple of films and is now compiling his writings in a book form.

He saw some nomad family trying to cook using a makeshift chulha on a road side. The woman was using card boards and news papers along with small wooden sticks. 2-3 kids were standing behind her and looking at the pot on the chulha. That's where this thought came in Gharib ka chulha. Children didn't know what was inside the pot but they were having hopes in their eyes that soon they will get food. Reminded me of my childhood when I had seen an earthen pot break on the chulha as it was empty. The lady was a widow and she was pretending to cook curry for herself. Later we came to know through my 'Naani' that the old lady was planning to eat only rice that day as she didn't had
