We had a late start this year because of the move but we didn’t want to blend in with all the other back to school pictures anyways 😂 How am I able to say I’m that I have a Kindergartener and a First grader now?! You can find me in the corner crying all day 😭

It’s moving day! We’re headed back to our favorite little town near Dallas and what we call home 🏡 The kids are so excited to see the new house and be reunited with their old friends! Funny story, we bought a house sight unseen 🤪 So I’ll take you guys along for the journey in stories today. Wish us luck as we wrangle four kids and two dogs while trying to move 😂

My spunky little red head is SIX! 💗 One thing I didn’t plan for when having kids is them growing up so fast, my heart still sees a fuzzy-headed toddler in a diaper running around and I think that’s how I’ll always picture the kids. I love this phase, (this VERY sassy yet independent) phase. And I love watching her grow because if you’re as strong-willed as this girl, you’re bound to make it far in life. God really knew what he was doing when he gave you to us so young, changed our life for the better and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Forever and always my baby you’ll be sweet cheeks 💗

3 things I’ve learned as a mom over the past few years..
•Children thrive with boundaries
I am one of the most relaxed parents when it comes to “schedules” and routines, but I have realized that my children are so well behaved when they know what to expect for the day. Get up, brush teeth, eat breakfast, etc. Not saying that I am Martha Stewart and have my life all figured out, not even close. But I do know that I am trying everyday and my kids love a routine.

•There is never one answer for every kid
Meaning that each child needs to be taught and disciplined differently. Not saying to break the rules for one, but one of my children need to be spoken to softly and another one needs a more stern voice at times.

•Pick your battles!
I can get very stressed out at times over things that honestly don’t matter. If your kid wants to go outside and cover themselves in mud, let them. I completely get that there is a time and place for everything but just let them be kids. Have them put on some old clothes and have at it, if they are truly not in danger then pick your battles and relax.
What are some tips you can add to this list? I would love to hear them!

Yesterday was moving day! We had a full day packed with loading up our things and driving to our new house. We have another full day ahead of us today as we try to unpack everything while wrangling these munchkins, I’m sweating just thinking about it 😅 We have shed many tears as we said goodbye to our friends and that home will always have a special place in my heart, but I know this is all in Gods plan and he will continue to provide. Heres to new adventures! 💕

I talked about this verse in my video the other day but I wanted to share it again because I love it so much.
Phil 4:6-7. “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”
The past several weeks have been very challenging for all of us, understandably. Lots of anxiety and confusion and just simply not knowing what will happen next. Remember this verse when you are feeling anxious and know that God is in control, and he will take care of us. Love y’all, and Happy Friday ❤️

We have been LOVING our new book 😍 The kids want me to read it over and over and they get so excited seeing themselves in the stories! The new book is perfect for our family and I love that I could customize the characters to resemble each kid, from the hair color, eye color, I got to choose it all!
