Our "Sweet Tea" Meetup this past weekend was a very powerful exchange of inspiration, awareness of the current issues and planning for the future starting with action NOW!
We had the pleasure of interviewing 3 black transwomen in our local pride community to find out in what ways the LGBQ+ community can uplift the T with more than just words but with intentional ACTION, FUNDING and RESPECT.
Check out the video below for their direct advice on where we can start in holding space for black transwomen in a way that benefits the rest of our pride community and puts an end to the ignorance and blind eye regarding the struggles black transwomen and trans individuals edure daily.
Featured in this interview L to R: Ms. Adrianna Tender from Midway Specialty Care Center - Wilton Manors, Ms. Tatiana Braxton co founder of TransinclusiveGroup TransInclusive-Page and Ms. Bjay Brielle Jiselle Roundtree founder of Bridging The Gap and case manager at SunServe - Transgender.
